On General Hospital, Ned was so convinced that his wife, Olivia, would fall for the charms – and into the bed – of dashing super-spy Robert Scorpio… that he went out and slept with a drunk Alexis. That makes total sense.
General Hospital Polling
What makes less sense is Ned’s (Wally Kurth) subsequent behavior. Either tell Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) or don’t tell Olivia, but stop looking so guilty. Should Ned tell Olivia? Almost 2,000 fans decided to shake some sense into him:
First Mover Advantage
Ned better hop to it, 64% of you advise – before somebody else does. This is Port Charles. No secret ever stays a secret for long. If Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) doesn’t blab directly to Olivia, then she’ll blab to someone else who will eventually blab to Olivia. There is no escaping this, so beat your inevitable blackmailer to the punch! You might get some Brownie points for it.
Right Turn For Ned
A smaller 24% of General Hospital fans agree that Ned should spill. But you think he should do it because it’s the right thing. Marriage requires trust and honesty. Right now, they don’t have either. Ned has screwed up many a relationship before. He doesn’t have a lot of options left. Hold onto Olivia. And do it by telling her the truth, begging her forgiveness, then maybe buying her something nice. And expensive.
Under the Rug
Only 12% are pretty sure Ned should keep his lips zipped. What good would confessing do? Olivia would never forgive him, and their marriage would be over. Who would that benefit? Nobody, that’s who. Ned would only be confessing to make himself feel better. But he would be hurting Olivia. And that’s not cool.
Be a Quartermaine, man. They never give up the truth, unless there is no other option – or something in it for them. Suffer in silence. It’s the noble thing to do. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
