3 Things You Can See Coming in The Bold and Beautiful’s Steffy Storyline

From the minute Steffy Forrester landed in the hospital after her motorcycle accident and woke up with broken ribs and a strained back, it was crystal clear which direction The Bold and the Beautiful was going. The soap’s pretty much been telegraphing a pain-addiction storyline for its tough-as-nails heroine, and if anyone can handle it, it’s Daytime Emmy winner Jacqueline MacInnes Wood.

The Bold and the Beautiful – Steffy Front and Center

The actress has already begun making viewers feel her pain, every time Steffy winces after making the slightest of moves. So what does it all mean moving forward? Here are three things you can pretty much see coming in this sure-to-be powerful and poignant storyline.

Dr. Finn to the Rescue?

It sure looks like Finn (Tanner Novlan) has already developed an interest in Steffy. How many doctors have ever dropped off hospital paperwork at your home? Yep. Zero. But will he turn out to be a good guy or a bad one?

He could end up trying to save Steffy as he starts falling for her and realizes she’s become more and more reliant on pills; a ride-to-her-rescue hero, who helps cover up her addiction while fighting to help her overcome it.

Or the handsome doc could use Steffy’s addiction to his advantage to get closer to her. As the man writing the prescription for her pain pills, Steffy could become totally dependent on him, too. Either way, Finn seems destined to play a huge role in Steffy’s battle.

A Fight for Kelly

Speaking of battles, there’s sure to be one on the horizon over Steffy and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) daughter, Kelly. Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam are already raising their daughter, Beth, and have custody of Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) son, Douglas.

The pair are clearly a children-first kind of couple. If they suspect Steffy has become addicted to pain pills that compromise her ability to care for Kelly or put the little girl’s well being in jeopardy, they’re sure to petition for custody of the child – even if it’s just temporary.

Time for an Intervention

It’s hard to imagine this storyline ending any other way than with a roaring intervention that spans the course of a few episodes. Liam could poignantly lead the charge, begging Steffy to get help for their daughter’s sake. Papa Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) could plead with Steffy to dig deep, muster her inner strength, and fight for control of her life.

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Eric (John McCook), Thomas, and Hope would get in the mix, too, all challenging Steffy to get back to the strong woman they have long admired and know can achieve anything she puts her mind to.
