It’s Robyn Griggs’s birthday, but it’s the actress’s fans who are getting the gift! Last month, the veteran soap star sat down with Soap Hub editors and Soap Hub Insiders for a Fireside chat. And, now, we’re providing the link to that entertaining discussion.
The actress, known to veteran daytime fans for her roles as Stephanie on One Life to Live and Maggie on Another World, shared never-heard-before stories about her years in soaps and chatted about her life today!
Griggs is currently undergoing treatment for cervical cancer. As fans and followers of the actress’s social media accounts can attest, the actress has been open about her journey and how her treatments are proceeding.
Griggs began her performing career on the stage, landing the title role in an off-Broadway production of Annie. Her soap stints are fondly recalled by daytime fans to this day. The actress was tied to key players on each of her shows.
On OLTL, Griggs’ Stephanie Hobart was the niece of Carlo Hesser (played by Daytime Emmy-winner Thom Christopher). Next, the actress was cast as Maggie Cory, the daughter of diabolical Cecile (Nancy Frangione) and Sandy (Chris Rich), the son of the late Mac Cory (Douglass Watson).
In addition to being known to soap fans from her daytime stints in the 1990s, Griggs is also known for her roles in the horror film genre. She’s a scream queen! Griggs’s feature credits in the horror genre include Joey Hollywood’s Movie Night 2, Demon Divas and the Lanes of Damnation, Shadows in the Woods (Video), Slashers Gone Wild!, and many more!
