In the Friday, December 20 episode of Days of Our Lives, Brady and Ava simply wanted to see The Nutcracker on their first date. But they never made it to the theatre. Instead, the overdressed duo stayed at Ava’s and attempted to salvage something. While they enjoyed spending time together, the date was a bit of a disaster. And it’s likely we can all point fingers at Kristen DiMera for ensuring the date didn’t go well.
First, we need to remember that Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Ava (Tamara Braun) were going to see The Nutcracker because Kristen went to see it with Rachel (Finley Rose Slater). Even though she knew Brady wanted it to be a special father-daughter outing. So, she only had herself to blame.
When Brady showed up at Ava’s room at The Pub, he couldn’t find the tickets. Ava immediately blamed Kristen. While plausible, that excuse didn’t seem to track. It just seemed so small. We could totally see Brady forgetting them at home or something.
But if that slapfest between Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Ava told us anything, it’s that Kristen isn’t going to play a wait-and-see game with Brady and Ava. She will go into full-on stalker mode because she feels she owns Brady and is entitled to be with him.

So, instead of a nice evening out, Brady and Ava had takeout and sat on her bed in front of some sort of TV we didn’t see (or hear). They couldn’t get into a streaming performance of The Nutcracker. Later, the Wifi went kaput.
The two had a nice conversation, but ultimately, the date wasn’t completely satisfying, so Brady suggested a do-over. After Brady left, Ava got a text from a mystery phone number that said, “So, how was your date?”
All night long, Ava blamed Kristen for everything that went wrong. And we don’t blame her because Ava has some of the same tendencies as Kristen. So, she knows what the woman would do and how far she would go. Well, she thinks she knows how far Kristen would go. Does anybody?

Hopefully, Ava shares this text with Brady because they both need to be on guard from here on out. Ava will probably attempt to handle this by herself, which is a big mistake. Let’s hope that this redeemed Ava starts to let some of her old self out because that person can go up against Kristen and possibly win this battle for Brady.
How far do you think Kristen will go to hang on to Brady? Why does she think this type of behavior will help her case?
