They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this little Daddy’s girl grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this woman (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. She’s a native of Indianapolis, Indiana who has appeared on two soap operas. She has appeared in music videos for Kenny Chesney and 3T’s and she has a son who has also followed in her acting footsteps.
But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Karla Mosley (Maya Avant, BB), Vanessa Williams (Valerie Grant, DAYS), Brook Kerr (Dr. Portia Robinson, GH), Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Barber Winters, YR)?
Karla Mosley
Mosley does indeed have two soap roles under her belt – Christina Boudreau (Guiding Light) and Maya (BB). And she has appeared in music videos – while a part of the children’s rock group Sugar Beats. But she never worked with the bands mentioned above and she was born and raised in Westchester County, New York.
Vanessa Williams
Her abilities as a singer were cemented on the Melrose Place soundtrack, but Williams never appeared in videos with the likes of Chesney and 3T’s. And DAYS stands as this Brooklyn, New Yorker’s only daytime role. So she isn’t today’s featured star.
Victoria Rowell
And neither is Rowell. This in spite of the fact that she has a son (Jasper Armstrong Marsalis) who worked opposite her on Diagnosis Murder and her turns on two daytime soaps: YR and As the World Turns (ex-Nella Franklin).
And though her music videography is impressive – she was in KASHIF’s Are You the Woman and Boyz II Men’s On Bended Knee – Rowell didn’t work with the previously mentioned artists.
Brook Kerr
Early in her career, Kerr was chosen to appear in 3T’s music video Why – which featured Michael Jackson! Between 1999 and 2007, Kerr played Whitney Russell Harris on NBC’s Passions, and between her exit and her subsequent appearance on GH, she worked opposite Kenny Chesney in the video for Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven. Her son, Chris Warren Jr. is also an actor whose credits include High School Musical 2 and 3 and Grand Hotel with former GH-er, Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan).
So if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Brook Kerr, then you were absolutely correct!
