They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this mini construction worker grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. He was born and raised in Canada. He left home at the age of 18 to pursue a career in modeling. He is a soap hopper. His first feature film role was in the horror picture Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled. And People Magazine once labeled him the Sexiest Soap Star.
But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Dylan Neal (ex-Dylan Shaw, BB), Victor Webster (ex-Nicholas Alamain, DAYS), William deVry (Julian Jerome, GH) or Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott, YR?
Dylan Neal
Neal was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and was raised in nearby Oakville but he spent his 18th year pounding the pavement looking for acting jobs – not modeling. And his first film role was the coming-of-age drama I’ll Get to Heaven, so he’s definitely not the answer to today’s identity query.
Victor Webster
Native of Canada? Check! Number of daytime drams he’s starred in? Two (Sunset Beach and DAYS)! Did he appear in Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled? Certainly! And did he receive an accolade from People magazine? Indubitably – but he was named one of their 50 Most Eligible Bachelors and not Sexiest Soap Star. And as for his work in the aforementioned horror picture, it was hardly the first time he appeared before a film camera.
William deVry
This Montrealer might have starred in a number of daily serials – including Port Charles (ex-Tim Dolan), All My Children (ex-Michael Cambias), BB (ex-Storm Logan), and GH – but he isn’t today’s featured star.
Jason Thompson
Eighteen-year-old Thompson bid Canada adieu and set off for a career in runway, print, and commercial modeling. He subsequently pursued the acting profession and racked up a number of credits including Wishmaster 4 and an 11-year stint on General Hospital as Dr. Patrick Drake.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Thompson – whom People magazine named 2007’s Sexiest Soap Star – then you were absolutely correct!
