They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this fishing enthusiast grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young woman (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. She began her career as a dancer and was a member of the Pacific Festival Ballet troupe. She is a Daytime Emmy Award winner. And she has served as a director.
But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Heather Tom (Katie Logan Spencer, BB), Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Deveraux DiMera, DAYS), Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina Davis, GH), or Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman, YR)?
Heather Tom
After winning her sixth Daytime Emmy, Tom now shares the title of most awarded soap opera actress with One Life to Live alum Erika Slezak. And she is also well on her way to adding “prolific director” to her list of accomplishments. But she isn’t today’s featured star.
Lexi Ainsworth
While it’s true that Ainsworth began dancing in her local ballet company at the age of six and that she is a Daytime Emmy Award winner (having nabbed the 2017 statuette in the Outstanding Younger Actress category), she is not the answer to today’s identity query.
Amelia Heinle
And neither is Heinle, who only has one thing in common with today’s mystery actor: her status as a Daytime Emmy Award winner (having won both the 2014 and 2015 statuettes for Outstanding Supporting Actress).
Kate Mansi
Fans know her for her work as DAYS’ perpetually-in-peril Abigail, but there was a time that Mansi’s sole focus was her dancing. However, once she got the taste for performing in front of a camera – thanks to a guest stint on How I Met Your Mother – Mansi was sold on a performer’s life.
Her interest even extended to the behind-the-scenes functions, and it culminated in her directorial debut on an episode of the DAYS spinoff, Chad and Abby in Paris.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Kate Mansi – winner of the 2017 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress – then you were absolutely correct!
