They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this handsome future star grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. He is a Florida native. His first professional acting credit is a fantasy sports film. He is a soap hopper. He is a Daytime Emmy Award nominee. And he is married to a fellow thespian with whom he has two children.
But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Francisco San Martin (ex-Mateo, BB), Galen Gering (ex-Rafe Hernandez, DAYS), Adrian Alvarado (ex-Detective Cruz Rodrigues, GH), or Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales, YR)?
Francisco San Martin
Martin has appeared in two daytime dramas – DAYS (ex-Dario Hernandez) and BB. However, it was the former that served as his first acting role, so he is automatically out of the running as a potential answer to today’s identity query.
Galen Gering
Gering is married to Jenna Hudlett, an actress and model, and together the couple has two children: sons Dillon Phoenix and Jensen. And Gering is also a soap star times two thanks to his nine-year tenure on NBC’s Passions. However, he isn’t today’s featured star.
Arian Alvarado
And neither is Alvarado. This in spite of his two soap roles – Detective Rodriguez in GH (and GH: Night Shift) and Marco on YR as well as his status as a husband and a twice-over father.
Jordi Vilasuso
Vilasuso is probably best remembered for his work in the daytime genre, having played characters on FOUR different soaps – Guiding Light (where he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor), All My Children, DAYS, and YR – but he began his career at the age of 15 in the film The Last Home Run.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Jordi Vilasuso – who has been married to actress Kaitlin Riley since August 25, 2012, and who is the father of two young daughters – then you were absolutely correct!
