They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this little darling grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. Prior to becoming an actor, he planned to become a surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s acclaimed theater program. His love of music resulted in his co-founding a band with fellow daytime performers. He is also a sports enthusiast, an amateur photographer, and a father to a beautiful little girl whom he shares with a fellow soap hopper.
But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Dylan Neal (ex-Dylan Shaw, BB), Brandon Barash (Jake Lambert, DAYS), Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli, GH), or Robert Adamson (Noah Newman, YR)?
Dylan Neal
Long before he was urged to pursue a career in the performing arts, Neal planned on becoming a professional squash player. He moved from his native Canada to Los Angeles right out of high school and his career quickly took off – and in 1994, he began a two-year run as BB’s rarely dressed Dylan Shaw. So he is not the answer to today’s question.
Bradford Anderson
Anderson began acting in local theater productions when he was 6 years old and he quickly decided that a performer’s life was for him. He honed his craft at both the Tisch School of Performing Arts at New York University and the Philadelphia Theater Company. And even though he is a member of Port Chuck, a cover band featuring a number of performers from soaps, Anderson is not today’s featured star.
Robert Adamson
And neither is Adamson. This in spite of the fact that he is the proud papa of Aleda Seren, the daughter he shares with DAYS star Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton).
Brandon Barash
While attending USC, Barash was initially a dual major: theater and pre-med. But acting won out. His first stab at the soaps was as Johnny Zacchara on General Hospital – the soap where he met his future Port Chuck bandmates Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), Scott Reeves (Steven Lars Webber), and Bradford Anderson.
When not spending time dotting on his beloved daughter, Harper Rose – whom he shares with former wife Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones, GH) – and touring with his band, Barash is known to indulge in his love of photography and sports – he is, after all, adept at basketball, racquetball, baseball, football, fencing, and golf.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Brandon Barash, then you were absolutely correct!
