Some of the most devoted daytime fans are stars in the music industry. Judy Garland once stopped performing mid-concert when she spotted one of her favorite soap stars in the audience. Composer and lyricist Cole Porter never missed an episode of The Edge of Night. And Tamar Braxton named her son after her favorite serial character.

Which Soap Star Was It?

All of these actors are either an alum of a long-ago classic – like One Life to Live – or they are either currently portraying a character on, or are an alum of, one of the four remaining soaps – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. However, only one of them can say that they starred in a Reba McEntire music video alongside their onscreen spouse.

But who can that actor be? Was it Bobbie Eakes (ex-Macey Alexander Forrester, BB), Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda Barett, GH), Robert S. Woods (ex-Bo Buchanan, OLTL), or Christian Le Blanc (Michael Baldwin, YR)?

Bobbie Eakes

Though she never appeared in a music video featuring McEntire, Eakes can be seen in one starring Collin Raye – the country music star whom she collaborated with on the duet Tired of Loving This Way.

Vanessa Marcil

She never collaborated on a project with Reba, but Marcil was handpicked by recording artist Prince to appear in two of his music videos: 1993’s Poorgoo and 1994’s The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.

Robert S. Woods

Woods was never cast in one of Reba’s music videos. However, he did have the opportunity to work opposite the country music superstar when she guest-starred on OLTL.

In that soap’s fictitious universe, it was, “handsome rascal,” Bo Buchanan whom Reba toiled beside while she cut her very first demo. That’s right folks, jack of all trades Bo (who also worked as a soap opera producer and a police commissioner) was the man responsible for Reba’s success – well, on the show at least.

Christian Le Blanc

When Reba needed a pair of actors to portray the parents of a bride in the music video for her single I Keep On Loving You, she turned to her good pal Tracey Bregman who not only agreed to act in the project but who also roped in Le Blanc – who plays her YR spouse – to complete the fictitious couple.

So, if guessed that the soap star in question was Christian Le Blanc, then you were absolutely correct!
