So many fans have watched General Hospital star Haley Pullos grow up in front of our eyes — ever since she joined the show as Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) youngest daughter, Molly, back in 2009. Soap Hub got to learn more about her in this exclusive chat.
Haley Pullos Talks About Life
What’s the last gift that you bought for yourself?
I actually just bought myself some paint-by-number sets! Super cheesy but, hey, I’m kind of cheesy.
Did you shop on Amazon and online a lot before the stay-at-home mandate – and what did you last buy?
I did! I’ve always preferred shopping online to shopping in stores. I do most of my clothes shopping online! I just bought this super cute little yellow sundress that I absolutely love. Can’t wait to actually have a reason to wear it!
You grew up before the eyes of General Hospital fans – what is your first memory of being at the GH set?
My very first memory on set is meeting Nancy Lee Grahn for the first time. She was in hair and makeup, and I walked up to her and said, “Hi, I think I’m your new daughter!”
That’s Entertainment
What’s was your favorite TV show when you were a kid?
I was super into Lizzie McGuire! Hilary Duff was actually my very first inspiration to get into acting.
What TV show would your fans and friends be surprised you never miss?
I got pretty into Love is Blind and watched it kinda religiously! I was stoked when they released a reunion episode.
What’s the last song that you can’t get out of your head?
Literally anything by Mac Miller. His entire discography is constantly on a loop in my brain.
What book are you currently reading?
I just finished reading So Sad Today by Melissa Broder. It was great! Very very touching and personal.
Which movie do you never tire of seeing?
My favorite movie, Closer! I can recite every single line!
Getting To Know Haley Pullos Better
What food did your mom or grandmothers make that you’ve not been able to duplicate, so you’ve given up trying?
Both my parents make this Greek lemon soup that I’m super obsessed with. We’d always have it for holidays or special occasions, and I have never ever been able to make it as well as they do!
What’s the last good laugh you had?
I recently got to see my best friend, Eleana Moore – an amazing singer – for the first time in months. We’ve been best friends since like 4th grade we can laugh at the most ridiculous and the goofiest things, and we did. It was really refreshing – and much needed.
What job do you admire – that you could you never ever do?
I don’t know that I could ever be a teacher. They do so incredibly much for our society, and I feel like they’re so under-recognized.
What was your first car?
A black jaguar.
Oh, well your teen fans can certainly relate to that!
I know I know, but it was a hand-me-down from my mother. Also, everyone told me it was super impractical for a 16-year-old – which, I now realize, it totally was.
What’s your favorite summer activity?
I love to lay out by the pool or tan at the beach.
If you were a pro athlete instead of an actor, what sport would it be?
I just cannot see that happening. I am absolutely the klutziest person on Earth.
Who is the most famous person you’ve met?
Maybe Mario Lopez! We worked together on The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia. He is absolutely the sweetest, and he’s everywhere!
What’s your favorite amusement park?
I love Disneyland! Stickin’ with the basics. I love the Matterhorn, even though I was absolutely terrified of it when I was little. I’d hide behind my mom every time the yeti pops out at you!
Your favorite and most useful beauty tip?
A good skincare routine! Taking care of your skin is like the foundation for the rest of your daily beauty routine.
Are you handy in the kitchen?
Eh, I can be. I’ve become handier since quarantine started, that’s for sure.
What’s your specialty?
I’ve recently been making a lot of spaghetti squash! It’s weirdly fun.
What’s for dinner tonight?
Honestly, probably spaghetti squash! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
