An actor opened up about being fired, two big returns were previewed, and an actress shared footage of her last day. All that and more are covered in the Soap Hub weekly news brief.

Bye-Bye Days, Hello GH?
Bryan Dattilo, who’s on his way out as Days of Our Lives Lucas Horton, opened up about getting his walking papers –– for the seventh time.

If he could land elsewhere on daytime, General Hospital would be his top choice and Dattilo has a specific reason why.

Here Comes Nicole
After sharing insight into the poignant custody battle he’s been enduring as Brady on Days of Our Lives, Eric Martsolf teased Arianne Zucker’s return as Nicole.

Specifically, that there’s “a giant story” that will take precedence over Nicole’s furor over Brady blackmailing her into leaving Salem.

… and Belle
Meanwhile, Martha Madison’s revolving door role of Belle is resurfacing this summer, along with her TV hubby Brandon Beemer (Shawn).

Madison revealed some details about when they’ll turn up and how long they’ll be sticking around.

From Here to Maternity
Karla Mosley (Maya) posted video footage of her last day at The Bold and the Beautiful before embarking on a “super long hiatus.” Namely, the soap’s summer hiatus coupled with her maternity leave.

Emmy Debacle
Patrika Darbo weighed in on having her Emmy for Guest Performer in a Digital Daytime Drama snatched from her.

Plus, she shared her frustration over no award being presented in the category at all this year and its repercussions.

You Say It’s Your Birthday
Some milestones were celebrated. Days of Our Lives’ Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) both turned 75, while co-stars Judi Evans (Adrienne) and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie) blew out birthday candles, too, along with General Hospital’s Hayley Erin (Kiki) and Hayley Pullos (Molly).
