The National Academy of Television and Dramatic Arts revealed tonight that fans will indeed be able to watch the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards–except once again it won’t be on TV.
The ceremony, which will be held in Pasadena on April 30, will be live-streamed on both Facebook Live and Twitter-Periscope beginning at 8 PM EDT and 5 PM PDT.
In addition, fans will also be able to watch the Creative Arts Emmys, held two days earlier on April 28 via the same avenues.
“The National Academy is thrilled to be streaming this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards to the world,” said Bob Mauro, President, NATAS. “Add the great list of presenters we have for both our signature shows and I think the fans and Daytime community are in for a real treat!”
For the April 30 show, Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood were already announced as hosts, some presenters’ names have now been released.
They include from The Young and the Restless (YR), Bryton James (Devon) and Mishael Morgan (Hilary); from General Hospital (GH), Kelly Monaco (Sam) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante); from The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and John McCook (Eric); and from Days of Our Lives (DOOL), Billy Flynn (Chad) and Marci Miller (Abigail).
There will be a special musical performance by Max Ehrich (The Young and the Restless, Under the Dome). Expect additional appearances by B&B’s Karla Mosley (Maya), Reign Edwards (Nicole), and Jacob Young (Rick), GH’s Sonya Eddy (Epiphany) and Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon), DAYS’ Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) and Eric Martsoff (Brady), and Y&R’s Tristan Lake Leabu (Reed).
The line-up of presenters for the Friday, April 28th, show include GH’s Carolyn Hennesy (Diane), Kristos Andrews (The Bay), Anthony Anderson (Anacostia), Anthony Wilkinson (Tainted Dreams), B&B’s Reign Edwards and Courtney Hope (Sally), DAYS’ Lauren Koslow (Kate) and Thaao Penghlis (Andre), GH’s Chloe Lanier (Nelle) and Chad Duell (Michael), and Y&R’s Christian Le Blanc (Michael) and Melissa Ordway (Abby).
