Actors come and go on daytime, but every once in a while, there’s a talent who’s powerful, inhibits that “it” factor, and makes viewers sit up and take notice.
These are performers who stand out from the pack; stars that producers and casting directors on rival soaps dream about snagging for their own shows. Here are the four stars from each soap that the competition would love to steal.
Robert Scott Wilson
Since going bad (and mad) as Ben Weston on Days of Our Lives, Robert Scott Wilson has transcended to a new dimension of acting.
His formerly ho-hum Ben suddenly became mesmerizing to watch. Even now, as the character has been dubbed “healed,” he’s kept Ben teetering on the edge; struggling between behaving sanely and fighting the evil voices that occasionally creep into his head.
Wilson would be a potent addition to any of the three rival soaps. Picture him as a new model on B&B who becomes obsessed with Hope (Anika Noelle).
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood
As Steffy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is the perfect blend of sexy, fun, and rebellious.
Viewers never know what she’ll say or do next. She plays the outside-the-box leading lady to perfection, having mastered the recipe of half heroine and half hellraiser.
B&B has been wise to keep her on the storyline forefront, but if they ever falter and she decides to leave, she’ll be snapped up in a minute. Imagine her as Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) new love on DAYS.
Mishael Morgan
Is The Young and the Restless really allowing this fierce and formidable actress to get away? As Hilary Curtis, she became the town’s resident byatch, bringing boldness, brazenness, and ballsiness to Genoa City.
She singlehandedly stirred the action in the Winters-Hamilton family for five years, and as a fan, you loved every minute of it.
Now she’s about to exit the soap, but she shouldn’t be unemployed for long: A smart rival show should make her an offer she can’t refuse (Hello, GH!) before Y&R comes to its senses.
Emme Rylan
Too often wasted as General Hospital’s Lulu Spencer Falconeri, Emme Rylan continues to shine, which is a testament to her talent.
Her big blue eyes can water on cue and convey exactly what Lulu is feeling, even without her speaking a single word.
She’s a spitfire one minute and a mother playing gut-wrenching heartache the next. Y&R already erred by letting her get away as Abby. If GH ever makes the same mistake, BB or DAYS would be wise to sign her to a contract, pronto.
