Some tweets that went out on Tuesday night under Doug Davidson’s name seem to not have come from him after all.
The Young and the Restless star said he was hacked after fans started wondering what the heck was going on.
It all began when Davidson’s Twitter account started posting comments about the show that were not exactly positive. One post showed Davidson allegedly tweeting a report on Y&R’s recent ratings that showed the show down in viewers.
The account also shared a tweet saying that the show is not heading in a direction that fans want to see… but there was a follow-up saying Davidson (although it turned out not to be Davidson) just wanted what was best for the 45-year-old soap.
While the ratings report is true, Davidson tweeting it is not. Since it didn’t seem like the actor to focus on anything negative, fans began scratching their heads.
Davidson then appeared on the social media platform in the morning to say the tweets were obviously not from him.
One follower suggested Davidson changed his password in order to eliminate hackers’ ability to post in his name. Davidson took the poster’s advice, apparently changed his password, and the false posts have seemingly stopped.
