Nathan Fillion has come a long way since his time in Llanview. The former One Life To Live star recently shared a major milestone for his current hit TV show.

Not A Rookie

Long before Fillion played Officer Nolan on ABC’s The Rookie, the actor is remembered for playing Joey Buchanan on OLTL from 1994 to 1994 and again in 2007.

After finding success on ABC primetime with his long-running drama Castle, Fillion now stars in The Rookie, which is currently in its seventh season.

Since the mid-season premiere in early January, the series has been on a roll. Fillion recently took to Instagram to share some stats with his followers. The photo notes that the show earned its best audience total views in three weeks with 8.8 million views, and goes on to share that it had its best delivery in its adult audience since 2020. The show also garnered a new all-time high in episode views on streaming platforms Hulu and Disney+.

“I know, I say it all the time. I couldn’t be more proud of what this show has accomplished,” Fillion wrote in the caption. “It honestly couldn’t happen to a more talented, kind, and deserving group of people. Cast, crew, writers, staff, and of course, Alexi. My thanks goes out to all the fans, too. You keep this show going by continuing to tune in, and for that I am truly grateful.”

Fillion received celebratory comments from several castmates, including a fan account for Eric Winter, who played Rex Brady on Days of our Lives from 2002-2005. “Agreed! Let’s Grey’s Anatomy this!!!” The comment referred to the show’s creator Alexi Hawley’s recent remark about wanting The Rookie to become the next Grey’s Anatomy. The ABC hit medical drama is currently in its 21st season.

The Rookie recently became even more connected to daytime when it featured appearances by General Hospital’s Carlo Rota and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Lisa Yamada in the same episode.
