Soap Fans Think THIS Soap Is In Desperate Need of a Makeover!

Sometimes soap operas can seem a little stale. Five days a week every week of the year is tough to do. In fact, in serious cases, it can seem like these shows have jumped the shark.

No doubt, every storyline won’t always appeal to every fan, but when it feels like most of the storylines on a show aren’t appealing to viewers, then that’s a huge problem.

Right now, some soaps could use a makeover, so Soap Hub asked which daytime drama needs a change the most. The results are in, and some of you might be surprised.

A Change Will Do You Good!
Recently Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans felt serious disappointment with the show’s island storyline. The ending didn’t even make sense. Why were they even there (to put Gabi and Chad together?)?

For 52% of you, this struggling show needs a complete reboot. For years now Salem has had a dark cloud of doom and gloom. It’s time for some happiness, and fans have begged for it for months if not years.

Nicole (Arianne Zucker) leaving the show is a huge loss, and you want to see her have happiness before her exit after so much heartache. While the promise of many thrilling returns this fall brings some hope, but you’re not convinced it will be enough.

You’re ready for a change, and you hope it is a big one with a bit of sunshine and happiness for Salemites (though you do realize that everyone can’t be happy at the same time). That dark cloud can blow away and stay away as far as you’re concerned!

Maybe a Slight Tweak
For the other three soaps, 17% would like to see a change at The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), 16% would enjoy seeing something different on The Young and the Restless (YR), while General Hospital (GH) comes in lowest at just 14%.

It seems that Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) dramatic and unexpected return on B&B worked well for many fans recently. Meanwhile, Y&R fans are happy enough with Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) sexual harassment lawsuit and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) recurring MS is keeping your attention.

Finally, GH fans are happy to see Maxie (Kirsten Storms) will be coming back to Port Charles soon and are interested to find out what is going on with Sam (Kelly Monaco).
