Which Soap Actor Has Won The MOST Number Of Daytime Emmys?

It’s Daytime Emmy trivia time once again as the pre-nominees now wait weeks to learn who made the final cut on the list of nominations.

The Emmys are also celebrating 45 years this year, so there are lots of juicy tidbits about the winners through the decades that will surprise you–like which actor has taken home the most number of statuettes. So, let’s see who that is–Peter Bergman, Scott Clifton, Chandler Massey, or Tony Geary.

Although he has had the most amount of nominations at 20, Peter Bergman has only won the award three times–not the most. His first nomination was for his work as Cliff Warner on All My Children, but from 1990-2017, he earned a nod almost every year for playing Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless (YR).

The Bold and the Beautiful star (BB) Scott Clifton has been nominated nine times, earning nods for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actor, and Outstanding Lead Actor. His three wins–not the most–came from his work as Liam, but he was also nominated for roles on General Hospital and One Life to Live.

As Will Horton on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), Chandler Massey was nominated four times for an Emmy for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor. He won three out of those four times, which doesn’t make him hold an all-soap actor record, but he does hold the record for the most amount of DAYS actor wins.

Soap legend and former General Hospital (GH) star Tony Geary has been nominated 16 times for a Daytime Emmy for his work as Luke Spencer. And, he won half of those times. Yes, his eight wins make him the soap actor with the most number of Emmy statuettes.
