Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex with ties to one soap, has big news for the world: She’s having a baby!
Markle, the American member of the Royal Family, grew up in Southern California where her father, Thomas Markle, was a lighting director for General Hospital. Thanks to that, she even got a few days of work on the soap as Jill back in 2002.
Back on May 19, 2018, she made history as she married the love of her life, Prince Harry, and became the Duchess of Sussex. Now the Royal Family has announced on Twitter that the happy couple is expecting! The tweet linked to the following royal announcement.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
