Soap Vet Rena Sofer’s Election Day Uber NIGHTMARE!

Soap veteran Rena Sofer was on her way to volunteer at a polling place when her Uber ride there turned into something utterly frightening!

For anyone who follows The Bold and the Beautiful star, Sofer’s interest in politics is well documented. Her day started off with enthusiasm, as she announced on her social media accounts that she was headed out to help on Election Day.

“Me and @tarastrong are on our way to phone bank for @harleyrouda today!! #electionday come by his campaign office with your #IVoted sticker to say Hi!!! #voteblue2018 #californiacounts”

But it wasn’t long after that post that she let her followers know that something horrible had happened.

“THREAD 1 This election is so critical!! @tarastrong and I just escaped from an angry @realDonaldTrump loving @Uber driver who invaded our private conversation and called us Evil, brainwashed and lefty demons. He started driving erratically until we got him to let us out!! But…

“Thread 2 here’s the thing. He is an immigrant who showed up at the border in the 80’s and then applied for immigration status. Today he would have been kicked out WITHOUT his children! And we are demons?? @Uber is this ok with you?? Your driver was out of line!!”

Sofer’s friend, Tara Strong, who was with her posted video of the encounter, though it starts about seven minutes in. Strong added she has the first part but hasn’t published that yet.

Good pal Linsey Godfrey (Sarah, Days of Our Lives; ex-Caroline, The Bold and the Beautiful) chimed in when she saw Sofer’s Tweet. “WHAT?!? Are you ok?! @Uber are you seeing this?! One of your drivers verbally attacked my friend and her friend in their car!”

According to Strong in a tweet later in the evening, Uber’s support team did come through. You can see it all of the tweets below.
