He Was Loved By All
Soap actors took to social media to share their touching thoughts on the untimely passing of Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Ashley Jones (Bridget)
Jones, who recently said goodbye to the old CBS studios at Television City, now says goodbye to her friend. On Instagram, she wrote, “Malcolm. 💔. It was only about an 8-day stretch I got to hang and work with you on set. I was a big fan, but you were a friend.
You were the real deal. Talked about your wife and daughter, your music, your poetry. We talked about my son and some hard life stuff I was going through…you were inspiring. Encouraged me to keep directing. Keep challenging myself. It was an honor — and I pray your family is comforted. Your legacy will live on. Rest easy in God’s hands. ♥️🕊️.”

Days of Our Lives
Jackée Harry (Paulina)
Harry took some time from her duties as Salem’s mayor to reminisce about Warner on Instagram, writing, “A kind kid who turned into a thoughtful, loving grown man.. We’ll miss you deeply, Malcolm. 💔 Thank you for all of the laughs, hugs, and joy you shared. This just doesn’t seem real.”
The Young and the Restless
Over on X (formerly Twitter), Dominic wrote the heartfelt, “Thank you, brother, for your contribution to the arts. I grew up watching The Cosby Show. Part of the reason I was drawn to acting. My condolences to your family and friends. This tragedy resets your understanding of here today, not promised tomorrow. RIP @malcolmjamalwar.”
General Hospital
Parry Shen (Brad)
While fans wonder whether Shen has actually exited GH as Brad, or if he’s just taking some time off, they still interact with him on social media. On Instagram, he shared a classic Theo clip in which the young man had issues with an outfit. “It’s tucked into my socks!” Shen quoted from the clip. He continued on a serious note, writing, “There aren’t many punchlines I can quote verbatim from over 40 years ago – but when I first watched this in 1984, it made me roll with laughter. Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s delivery of pure frustration through gritted teeth to his sister Denise after she suggests he just ‘tuck in’ the oversized and disproportioned designer shirt she made for him, will obviously stay with me forever.”
He further explained how sitcom actors from the 1980s taught him a lot and enjoyed seeing Warner grow beyond his Theo role. He concluded with, “Thank you for the wonderful memories. Thoughts to his family and loved ones.”
