Here are the latest soap opera comings and goings casting news from all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.
The Week of March 24, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
Days of our Lives
Two popular actors are back at DAYS. Christopher Sean returns as Paul Narita, John’s (Drake Hogestyn) son, on Friday, March 28. He shares sweet scenes with Deidre Hall’s Marlena as the pair reminisce about John.
Meanwhile, Colton Little also pops in as Andrew Donovan, Paul’s significant other, on Friday, March 28. He’ll interact with Stephen Nichols’ Steve, who’s determined to find the missing John.
On the exit front, a trio of actresses have wrapped up their stints in Salem. AlexAnn Hopkins is out as Joy Wesley. The actress began playing Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) little sister in October of 2024. She made her final appearance last week, when her character, who’s pregnant with Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) baby, decided to leave Salem and return to New York.
It’s also the end of the line for Ros Gentle as Kristen’s mother, Rachel Blake, aka the Woman in White. The character disappeared from Salem on Friday, March 21, courtesy of EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), who was hellbent on keeping her from implicating him in Rafe’s (Galen Gering) abduction.
Last, but not least, Emily O’Brien has finished up her short visit as Theresa Donovan. Her character left town for California to tend to her ailing mother, Kimberly.
Shi Ne Nielson gets more screen time as Amy Choi, Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) mother. She has a meeting with Jackee Harry’s Paulina and Raven Bowens’ Chanel on Wednesday, March 26.
Tina Huang returns as Melinda Trask, too. She airs on Monday, March 24 in scenes with Casey Moss’ JJ and on Thursday, March 27 opposite Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi.
The Bold and the Beautiful
TKHeather Tom resurfaces on B&B with a vengeance on Thursday, March 27 in a special episode she wrote, directed and starred in. That’s a first for the medium, and it’s airing in recognition of Women’s History Month. Look for the standalone episode to center on mothers and daughters.
Also appearing in the all-female show will be Jennifer Gareis as the rarely seen Donna Logan Foster. She’ll be joined by Rebecca Budig’s Taylor, Annika Noelle’s Hope, Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy.TKTKTK
General Hospital
Soap opera vet Daniel Cosgrove has been cast as councilman Ezra Boyle on GH. The actor, who made his daytime debut as Scott Chandler on All My Children back in 1996, has also played Bill Lewis on Guiding Light, Chris Hughes on As the World Turns, and Aiden Jennings on Days of our Lives, made his Port Charles debut last Friday. Look for Cosgrove to be featured heavily in a storyline involving Cameron Mathison’s Drew and others. His character airs again on Wednesday, March 26 in scenes with Genie Francis, who portrays the town mayor, Laura Collins.
Braedyn Bruner pops back in as Emma Drake. Her character will take drastic action on Friday, March 28.
The Young and the Restless
The drama surrounding Alan (Christopher Cousins) means more airtime for Beth Maitland as Traci Abbott on Y&R. Namely, that her new fiance is the mastermind behind Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) recent abduction.
Look for the veteran actress to air on Wednesday, March 26 in pivotal scenes with Sharon Case. She’ll also appear on Thursday, March 27, 2025 and Friday, March 28 opposite her TV brother, Peter Bergman’s Jack.
