The Week of March 9, 2026

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.

The Young and the Restless Casting

A beloved heroine returns to Y&R this week, when Christel Khalil resurfaces as Lily Winters. Look for the character to make amends with her ex, Cane (Billy Flynn) on Friday, March 13. Khalil, who last aired in January, had been off on maternity leave. The actress announced that she was back at work by sharing a photo of herself pumping iron with her newborn son strapped to her chest.

Stacy Haiduk is back on the Genoa City scene for a limited run as Patty Williams. The mentally unstable character has a shocking reunion with her ex-husband, Jack (Peter Bergman), on Monday, March 9. Haiduk last appeared as Patty in 2016, a role she began playing in 2009. She also portrayed Dr. Emily Peterson on the soap from 2009 to 2012, and currently holds down dual roles as Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks on Days of our Lives

Days of our Lives Casting

AlexAnn Hopkins, who exited DAYS as Joy Wesley in March of 2025, is officially back on the canvas. The actress begins airing in late April. Hopkins announced the news in a video posted on the soap’s official social media pages, saying, “Surprise. I am back. You thought Joy was gone. She’s back in Salem. To find out why, you’ll have to tune into Peacock.” Hopkins joined the soap as Nancy (Patrika Darbo) and Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) daughter in October 2024. When last seen in Salem, Joy learned she was carrying Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) baby, but lied and told him her pregnancy test was negative before moving to New York.

Meanwhile, Nikki Crawford has joined the cast as the new Lexie Carver, Abe’s (James Reynolds) “late” wife. The character, last played by Renee Jones, was killed off the soap in 2012. Crawford made her debut on Friday, March 6.

After a short break, Al Calderon returns to Salem as Javi Hernandez. Look for his character to offer Leo (Greg Rikaart) a chance to reconcile on Monday, March 9.

Tina Huang is back as Melinda Trask. The lawyer interacts with Emily O’Brien’s Gwen on Monday, March 9.

Peter Porte continues his run as Dimitri Von Leuschner. He has scenes with Rikaart’s Leo on Tuesday, March 10. Porte reflected on his explosive return to the soap and what it’s meant to him.

Hank Northrop clocks back in as Liam Selejko. He interacts with Marissa Reyes’ Arianna on Tuesday, March 10.

Wes Ramsey causes more trouble as Owen Kent. Look for his character to share scenes with his kidnap victims, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Jeremy (Michael Roark), on Wednesday, March 11.

Richard Wharton gets more airtime as Dr. Wilhelm Rolf. The crafty DiMera employee makes a shocking discovery on Thursday, March 11. Wharton took over the diabolical role of Rolf from Wil Utay and shared his thoughts on the experience.

On the exit front, Alice Halsey has wrapped up her run as Rachel Black, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) daughter. She made her final appearance on Thursday, March 5. The young actress said a poignant goodbye to fans on Instagram as she moves on to her new Netflix series.

General Hospital Casting

Nathan Dean, formerly known as Nathan Parsons, is reprising his role as Ethan Lovett on GH, the son of the late Luke (Tony Geary) and Holly (Emma Samms). Dean originally played Ethan from 2009 to 2012 and made a handful of appearances over the years. The character was last played by James Ryan, albeit briefly, in 20223.

Nazneen Contractor is back as Justine Turner. Look for the district attorney to play it cool on Wednesday, March 11. Here are some facts about the actress

Paige Herschell gets more screen time as Jacinda Bracken. She airs on Monday, March 9 opposite Kate Mansi’s Kristina and on Tuesday, March 10 in scenes with Mansi and Rory Gibson’s Michael. Herschel revealed her thoughts on playing Jacinda and how the character has developed.

Kathleen Gati appears to be off the canvas as Dr. Liesl Obrecht for a while. Her character left town to attend a medical conference in New Zealand on Friday, March 6.

The Bold and the Beautiful Casting

Morgan Fairchild reprises her role as Dottie on B&B. The San Francisco socialite was last seen in February, when she met with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Electra (Laneya Grace). She airs on Friday, March 13.

Joining Fairchild will be Jim J. Bullock, who portrays her loyal assistant, Joseph. He also airs on Friday, March 13.

Ashleigh Brewer gets more airtime as Ivy Forrester. She issues a warning to Murielle Hilaire’s Daphne on Monday, March 9. Daphne, of course, is the first one who’s caught on to Ivy’s manipulation of Electra’s (Laneya Grace) love life.

The status of a missing cast member has been clarified. Romy Park, who hasn’t aired as Poppy Nozawa since last November, is officially off the canvas… at least for now. The actress took to Instagram to explain that she had to “temporarily step back from acting” due to “a huge opportunity” involving one of her projects. It seems Park, who has been actively working on becoming a producer, because “I want to tell the stories I want to tell. I am not just an actor. I am a storyteller.” She debuted as Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) mother in 2023. Read all about Park’s empowering decision.
