A new soap opera channel is building up its library of past primetime sudsers. Available for free, everyone will be able to relive the glory days of some of the greatest, and most beloved night time soaps ever!
Knots Landing Is Coming To Plex
Plex is a free, ad-supported streaming service offering a variety of movies and TV shows. They’ve partnered with several major production companies including Warner Bros, with whom they’ve created Primetime Soaps by WBtv.
This is exciting news for soap fans because while the word “primetime” is in its name, the site itself states, “Primetime Soaps by WBtv, a collection of everyone’s beloved daytime soap operas.” Now, whoever wrote that may not be very savvy about soaps, or it was a slip, and a daytime version is on its way.
No matter how you slice it, shows like Falcon Crest are currently streaming live, and according to its website, Knots Landing will premiere on August 13. KL had several shocking exits that fans are still talking about to this day. (Find out about Donna Mills’ best KL memories.)
Plex Is Available Through Amazon
The platform currently has the entire KL run and FC, and it only plays the shows as a live stream in order of episode number. It does not offer programs in any on-demand capacity, which is great for old-school TV watchers.
The X, formerly Twitter, account called “cbs Knots Landing” posted on August 9, “Plex confusion? 🚨📺👨🏼💻 PLEASE NOTE: “Primetime Soaps by WBtv” channel is also available via @AmazonFreevee network. #KnotsLanding begins airing 8/13/2024 at 8:19PM ET / 7:19PM CT”
Our fingers are crossed that a daytime version is in the works so that we can not only catch up on current soaps but perhaps relive the past by watching tons of other canceled ones like All My Children and Ryan’s Hope! (Learn about primetime soaps you forgot existed!)
