Casting For The Week of April 15, 2024

Are any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear returning to the shows you watch? Have any newcomers been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles? Read on to find out.

General Hospital

Cameron Mathison’s General Hospital status won’t be changing now that he’ll be hosting the Game Show Network’s new series, Beat the Bridge. The actor, who plays Drew Cain, addressed fans’ concerns in an Instagram post, assuring that he’d be staying on the soap. “Got some questions about how this affects General Hospital…it doesn’t!” said Mathison. “I already shot Beat The Bridge last year so Drew isn’t going anywhere.”

Charles Mesure returns as John Brennan. Look for Laura Wright’s Carly to find the former WSB director in trouble on Tuesday, April 9. The pair also share scenes on Wednesday, April 10.

The Bold and the Beautiful

It looks like Kimberlin Brown isn’t out at The Bold and the Beautiful and that reports of Sheila’s death were…well, dead wrong. After being led to believe Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had killed the character, fans learned Sheila wasn’t the real victim last Friday.

Dan Martin returns as Deputy Director Bradley Baker on Monday, April 8. Look for the cop to share important scenes with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy.

Sean Whalen is back as Carl. The character airs on Monday, April 8.

Tracey Bregman wrapped up her crossover stint as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin. The Young and the Restless character returned to Genoa City, after a quick visit to see John McCook’s Eric.

The Young and the Restless

Redding Munsell debuts as Harrison Abbott, Summer (Allison Lanier) and Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) son on Friday, April 12. The tyke replaces Kellen Enriquez, who originated the role in May of 2021. Although new to the business, Munsell appeared in Red, White, and Blue, which was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2024 Academy Awards.

Days of our Lives

While on the subject of cute kids, Cary Christopher pops back in as Thomas DiMera, Chad’s (Billy Flynn) son. He’ll share some fun and mischievous scenes with his TV dad on Friday, April 12.

James Read makes another appearance as the diabolical Clyde Weston on Tuesday, April 9. He’ll interact with Tamara Braun’s Ava.

Also back on the scene this week is Finley Rose Slater as Rachel, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) daughter. She’ll interact with Ashley Puzemis’ Holly and her TV mom.
