Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.

The Week of October 20, 2025

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.

The Bold and the Beautiful Casting

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is finally back onscreen on B&B following her maternity leave. The actress recently gave birth to her fifth son. Look for Steffy to return home to Finn (Tanner Novlan) on Monday, October 20. 

Wood’s character won’t be the only one returning to her Los Angeles home. She’ll also be accompanied by her TV kids: Sophia Parras McKinley, who plays Kelly, and Bryan David Garlick, who plays Hayes.

Romy Park is back as Poppy. She shares scenes with her incarcerated TV daughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), on Monday, October 20.

Christian Weissmann is back on the scene as Remy. The character airs on Wednesday, October 22.

Sandra Gutierrez pops in as Dr. Taverez. The actress airs on October 22.

Days of our Lives Casting

After a long absence, Jonah Robinson resurfaces on DAYS as Mark Greene, Cat (AnnaLynne McCord), Aaron (Louis Tomeo), and Felicity’s (Kennedy Garcia) brother. The actor made his last appearance in December 2024. He interacts with Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ on Wednesday, October 22. 

Maggie Carney is back as Rita, EJ’s trusted assistant. She has scenes with Greg Rikaart’s Leo and Feuerriegel’s EJ on Wednesday, October 22.  

Cary Christopher pops in as Thomas, Chad’s (Billy Flynn) son. He connects with Michael Roark’s Jeremy on Wednesday, October 22. (Check out some of this talented child actor’s other projects.)

Shi Ne Nielson returns as Amy Choi, Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) mother. She has enlightening scenes with Linsey Godfrey’s Sarah on Thursday, October 23, and with Rikaart and Al Calderon’s Leo on Friday, October 24.

Alice Halsey airs as Rachel. The character’s memory sparks concern for Deidre Hall’s Marlena on Thursday, October 23.

The Young and the Restless Casting

Michael Damian and Lauralee Bell are back as Danny and Christine as their characters’ wedding day approaches on Y&R. The duo airs for their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties on Monday, October 20.

Attending the bachelorette bash festivities are two fan favorites. Melissa Ordway is back as Abby, and Beth Maitland resurfaces as Traci on Monday, October 20. The two actresses share scenes with Bell, Amelia Heinle’s Victoria, Susan Walters’ Dian,e and others. 

Cait Fairbanks returns as Tessa. The character makes a bold move with Michael Graziadei’s Daniel on Tuesday, October 21. (Fairbanks recently shared her thoughts on Tessa/Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) relationship woes.)

Matt Cohen is back on the scene as Detective Burrow. The cop is investigating Noah’s (Lucas Adams) accident.  

Valentina Grace appears as a member of the medical staff tending to Noah. She interacts with Sharon Case’s Sharon on Thursday, October 23. 

Beyond the Gates Casting

B&B vet Thorsten Kaye makes an appearance as his longtime alter ego, Ridge Forrester. His character receives an update from Karla Mosley’s Dani on Friday, October 24. (Find who the first CBS soap star was to make a cameo on BTH.)

General Hospital Casting

James Patrick Stuart is back on the scene as GH’s Valentin. The Steinmauer inmate gets an unexpected visitor on Wednesday, October 22. The character was extricated to the European prison last March

Erika Slezak gets more screen time as Ronnie, the late Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson) sister, beginning Monday, October 20. The actress, who signed on for a short story arc, is best known for her role as Victoria Lord on One Life to Live. Slezak chatted with Soap Hub about her career highlights.

Chris McKenna returns as Brennan as the WSB chief’s duplicity continues to be exposed. He shares powerful scenes with Laura Wright’s Carly on Monday, October 20 and Eden McCoy’s Josslyn on Wednesday, October 22.

Vernee Watson is back as Stella. She interacts with Jane Elliot’s Tracy on Monday, October 20.
