Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.

The Week of February 10, 2025

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.

Days of our Lives

Rachel Boyd makes her DAYS debut as Sophia Choi on Wednesday, February 12. The actress replaces Madelyn Kientz, who originated the character in 2024 and opted to exit the soap. Boyd’s credits include the film Boot Camp and the series Grand Army

Shi Ne Nielson is back as Amy Choi, Sophia’s mother. Nielsen airs on Friday, February 14 in scenes with Boyd and Leo Howard’s Tate.

Ros Gentle reappears as the Lady in White on Monday, February 10. She interacts with Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen and Tamara Braun’s Ava.

Bruce Beatty pops in as Seth Burns. The hospital administrator and Body and Soul star shares scenes with Judi Evans’ Bonnie on Tuesday, February 11.

Kim Coles wrapped up her one-day visit as Whitley King. The psychotic nurse was sent back to the mental hospital after terrorizing the Body and Soul cast. 

The Young and the Restless

Valarie Pettiford continues her Y&R run as Amy Lewis. The actress airs in scenes opposite Sean Dominic’s Nate and Jermaine Rivers’ Damian on Tuesday, February 11, when Amy is finally reunited with her son. 

Redding Munsell returns as Harrison Abbott. The tyke shares scenes with his TV parents,  Michael Mealor’s Kyle and Allison Lanier’s Summer on Tuesday, February 11. 

General Hospital

One Life to Live vet Chris McKenna, best known for his portrayal of Joey Buchanan on the defunct ABC soap, has taken over the WSB honcho Jack Brennan role. McKenna, who also appeared as Mark Harding on The Young and the Restless and Dr. Hayden on The Bold and the Beautiful, made his debut last week. He explained his take on his new assignment here.

McKenna replaces Charles Mesure, who began airing as the cryptic and charismatic character in December 2023. According to a GH statement, Mesure opted to exit the role. The actor made his final appearance on January 30, just as Jack and Carly’s (Laura Wright) romance was heating up.

Asher Antonzyn is back as Danny Morgan. He shares scenes with his TV father, Steve Burton’s Jason, on Wednesday, February 12.

The Bold and the Beautiful

After a few months off the B&B canvas, Dick Christie is back on duty as Charlie Webber. The Forrester Creations head of security is set to air on Friday, February 13. He’ll share scenes with Murielle Hilaire’s bewitching Daphne Rose. Christie last appeared on the soap in November 2024.
