Here is the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.
The Week of July 21, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
General Hospital
Kelly Thiebaud, who was killed off GH as Dr. Britt Westbourne in January 2023, is back on screen this week. There’s no official word from the show as to who she’ll be playing this time around, but with Kathleen Gati back on the scene as Britt’s mother, Liesl, signs seem to point to a Britt resurrection. Stay tuned…
Speaking of Gati, she airs again this week. Look for Liesl to reunite with Becky Herbst’s Elizabeth on Thursday, July 24.
Meanwhile, Sofia Mattsson has finished her run as Sasha Gilmore. Mattsson joined the soap as a recurring character in 2018, but eventually emerged as a popular heroine. The actress, whose last airdate was on July 18, has left the show to pursue other projects.
Tristan Rogers made a brief appearance as Robert Scorpio last week. The character was back as part of Mattsson’s exit storyline.
Michael Knight makes another appearance as Martin Grey on Tuesday, July 22. The attorney interacts with Jane Elliot’s Tracy.
Cosette Abinante resurfaces as Scout Cain, Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) daughter. The character has sweet scenes with Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow on Thursday, July 24.
That was Carolyne Maraghi playing Greta last week. The character interacted with Danny (Asher Antonzyn) at the Metro Court pool and later Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) at the airport.
Days of our Lives
After eight months, Peyton Meyer has wrapped up his run at DAYS. The actor, who started playing Doug Williams III in November 2024, is set to leave town this week. His character says a poignant goodbye to Susan Seaforth Hayes’ Julie on Friday, July 25.

It’s double duty for Stacy Haiduk. The actress, who regularly plays Kristen DiMera, resurfaces as Susan Banks on Friday, July 2,5 to support her TV grandson, Johnny (Carson Boatman).
With Johnny’s attempted murder trial beginnin,g Karole Foreman has been cast as Judge Dabney. She’ll be officiating over the proceedings.
The Young and the Restless
As hinted in last week’s Y&R comings and goings, Jermaine Rivers is indeed out as Damian Kane. His character was surprisingly killed off the soap. The actor posted a farewell video after his final episode aired. “Thank you to Josh Griffith (Y&R’s head writer and executive producer) and the rest of the producers and CBS for giving me this amazing opportunity to be a part of such an iconic show. Huge thank you to fans who tuned in and showed love. You guys are awesome!”
While the murder mystery unfolds, Conner Floyd gets more airtime as Chance Chancellor. Look for the Genoa City cop to continue his investigation of the crime.
Mishael Morgan is also back as Amanda Sinclair. Cane’s (Billy Flynn) attorney airs prominently throughout the week.
Vincent Stalba pops in as Carter, Cane’s executive assistant. He interacts in powerful scenes with Joshua Morrow’s Nick and Sharon Case’s Sharon on Monday, July 21.
