Here is the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.
The Young and the Restless Casting
Camryn Grimes returns to Y&R as Mariah Copeland. The character surprises her TV mother, Sharon Case’s Sharon, when she returns home to Genoa City on Monday, August 3. Mariah had been off at a mental facility receiving intensive therapy following a psychotic break. Check out Grimes one hope, now that she’s returned to the soap.
Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian are back as Christine and Danny Romalotti. Look for Danny to share unexpected news with his wife on Thursday, August 6.
Melissa Ordway gets more screen time as Abby Newman Winters. She interacts with Amelia Heinle’s Victoria, Joshua Morrow’s Nick, Christian Le Blanc’s Michael, and Hayley Erin’s Claire as the Newmans celebrate Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) reconciliation on Wednesday, August 5. Roger Howarth is back as the mysterious Matt Clark. He shares scenes with Billy Flynn’s Cane and Mark Grossman’s Adam on Wednesday, August 5, and meets Grimes’ Mariah on Friday, August 7.
Days of our Lives Casting
After three months off the canvas, Peter Porte resurfaces as DAYS’ dastardly Dimitri Von Leuschner this week. The character airs in scenes opposite Greg Rikaart’s Leo and Emily O’Brien’s Gwen on Friday, August 7. Porte made his last appearance on the soap in April. Check out some interesting facts about him.
Four fan favorites are currently on set filming scenes at the soap’s Burbank studios: Alison Sweeney, who plays Sami Brady; Christie Clark, who portrays Carrie Brady; Chandler Massey, who plays Will Horton; and Bryan Dattilo, who portrays Lucas Horton. Sweeney and Massey made their last appearances in November 2025, while Clark last visited in June 2025 and Dattilo in December 2025. Due to the show’s advanced filming schedule, the actors won’t appear onscreen until the summer of 2027.
Nikki Crawford is back as Lexie Carver. The character interacts with Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ on Monday, August 3, and says goodbye on Wednesday, August 5.
Sal Stowers gets more airtime as Lani. Jackée Harry’s Paulina turns to her daughter for help on Wednesday, August 5. Stowers shared her thoughts about her long road back to DAYS.
Lorelei Olivia Mote pops in as young Rachel Black. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) pays her daughter a secret visit on Thursday, August 6.
Maggie Carney continues her scheming as Rita. She shares scenes with Feuerriegel’s EJ and Crawford’s Lexie on Monday, August 3.
Nat Anglin reappears as a DiMera henchman. He airs on Monday, August 3.
General Hospital Casting
Christian Howard, who turned up as the new Ethan Lovett and replaced Nathan Dean on July 27, is already out at GH. The character left Port Charles and the country last Friday after saying a quick goodbye to his sister, Lulu (Alexa Havins).
As Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) trial gets underway, expect the family to be on hand to support him. Robert Gossett continues his visit as his devoted father, Marshall Ashford, while Vernee Watson is back as his loving aunt, Stella Henry.
Paige Herschell returns as Jacinda Bracken. Look for Michael (Rory Gibson) to question his girlfriend on Friday, August 7.
Asher Antonyzyn appears as Danny Morgan throughout the week. The actor recently spoke out about how much he appreciated the show’s fans.
Wes Ramsey gets more screen time as the late Peter August. The character’s ghost continues to haunt Finola Hughes’ Anna.
The Bold and the Beautiful Casting
Naomi Matsuda gets more airtime as B&B’s Dr. Li Finnegan. She offers guidance to her conflicted TV son, Tanner Novlan’s Finn, on Monday, August 3. Matsuda also appears on Friday, August 7. Check out how Matsuda transforms into her character.
Delon de Metz clocks back in as Zende Forrester Dominguez. The Forrester Creations designer airs on Wednesday, August 5. The actor addressed his feelings about his alter ego’s career and personal life.
Lonnie Henderson turns up as Lonnie, a stylist at Forrester, on Tuesday, August 4. The actor previously played Dr. Carter on GH for three episodes in 2019 and 2022.
