The Week of September 8, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
The Young and the Restless Casting
Another Days of our Lives star is heading to Y&R. Lucas Adams is set to join the show’s cast as Noah Newman, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) long-missing son. Adams previously played Tripp Johnson on DOOL. Noah was last portrayed by Rory Gibson, who has since gone on to play Michael Corinthos on General Hospital. The character last appeared onscreen in 2023, when he left town with his girlfriend, Allie (Kelsey Wang). Adams will begin airing this fall.
A former GH star is boarding Y&R, too. Matt Cohen, who played Duke Lavery’s (Ian Buchanan) long-lost son, Griffin Munro, and later went on to work as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, has been cast in a new role. He’ll be playing Detective Burrow, a new cop on the Port Charles scene. He’s already begun filming and is slated to make his debut on October 16.
Cait Fairbanks continues to get prominent screen time as Tessa Porter. On Tuesday, September 9, she interacts with Michael Graziadei’s Daniel and Camryn Grimes’ Mariah.
Days of our Lives Casting
Theo Carver is finally heading back to DAYS. Daytime newcomer Tyler Joseph Andrews debuts in the role on Tuesday, September 9. He’ll share scenes with his TV dad, James Reynolds’ Abe, and Jackee Harry’s Paulina throughout the week. Theo was last played by Cameron Johnson and has been off the canvas since 2023.
Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves continue their story arc as Jack and Jennifer Deveraux. The couple returns on Monday September 8.
Thaao Penghlis resurfaces as Tony DiMera on Tuesday, September 9. Once again, he shares screen time with his partner in espionage, Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi.
Alice Halsey pops in as young Rachel Black. She airs in scenes with Ashley Puzemis’ Holly on Thursday, September 11 and with her TV parents, Eric Martsolf’s Brady and Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen on Friday September 12.
General Hospital Casting
There’s a big, mysterious return on the GH agenda this week. However, the soap is keeping the actor/actress and his/her character’s identity top secret. Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 11. That’s the day the character is set to surface.
Paige Herschell is back as Jacinda, the sex worker who was hired to help bring down Drew (Cameron Mathison) on Monday, September 8. She’ll interact with the women who employed her: Cynthia Watros’ Nina and Brook Kerr’s Portia.
Mercedes Lopez Renard resurfaces as the duplicitous Colette Moreau Brennan. She shares explosive scenes with Chris McKenna’s Jack on Monday, September 8.
Marc Forget returns as Pascal. Look for the villain, who’s been holding Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) captive at the Five Poppies, to continue to wreak havoc.
