Here is the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates for the week of July 27-31.
General Hospital Casting
In a surprise move, GH has written out one of its most beloved families: Maxie and Spinelli’s blended clan. The story twist stems from actress Kirsten Storms’ off-screen woes, which prevent her from committing to portraying Maxie at the moment. Hence, following the news that Spinelli landed a new job in Australia, the couple and their kids are relocating. So Storms’ Maxie, Bradford Anderson’s Spinelli, Gary James Fuller’s James, Lily Fisher’s Georgie, and Miley and Riley Plonski’s Bailey will be off the canvas for the foreseeable future.
Kelly Kruger makes her debut as Serena Baldwin on Thursday, July 30. The character is the daughter of Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and his late wife, Dominique (Shell Danielson); however, Lucy (Lynn Herring) is her surrogate mother. Serena was originally portrayed by Carly Schroeder and was last seen in 2017. Kruger previously played Mackenzie Browning on The Young and the Restless and a publicist named Eva on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Troy Lennon Appel joins the cast as Hudson on Thursday, July 30. The character is described as a business executive with mysterious ties to Port Charles.
Paige Herschell is back as Jacinda Bracken. She has intriguing scenes with Rory Gibson’s Michael on Tuesday, July 28.
Finn Carr gets more screen time as Rocco Falconeri. He airs on Tuesday, July 28.
Asher Antonyzyn returns as Danny Morgan throughout the week. The actor recently expressed his appreciation for the show’s devoted fans. Look for Amanda Setton’s Brook Lynn to defend the teenager on Friday, July 31.
The Young and the Restless Casting
Christopher Cousins is back for another stint as Martin Laurent on Y&R. The character had a video chat with Beth Maitland’s Traci last week. Cousins previously portrayed Martin and his twin brother, psychiatrist Alan Laurent, on the soap; a gig he began in April 2024. Traci is set to pay Martin a visit in prison soon. Maitland discussed Traci’s ill-fated love story with Martin during its peak.

Days of our Lives Casting
It’s double duty time for Stacy Haiduk on DAYS. The actress, who usually plays the devious Kristen DiMera, resurfaces as the delightful Susan Banks this week. Look for Susan to pay a visit to her son, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), on Wednesday, July 29. Find out which storyline Haiduk called an “emotional gift” after receiving a Daytime Emmy nomination this year.

Beyond the Gates Casting
Word is Greg Vaughan is out as Dr. Kial Rollins on BTG, a role he debuted in back in 2025. The actor shared a post about his “next chapter,” alerting fans to the move. Afterward, his co-star Robert Christopher Riley, who plays Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald, indicated that Vaughan had left the soap, writing, “Love and Miss ya buddy.”
Meanwhile, Nick Hagelin has been cast as Noah Rollins, Kial’s son. The part is recurring.
