The Young and the Restless Casting
Tamara Braun, last seen as Ava Vitali on DAYS, is joining the GH cast as Sienna Bacall, a woman with “personal connections” to a few Genoa City citizens. Braun, who begins taping this week and airing in the fall, has an extensive daytime past. She made her debut as Carly Corinthos on GH in 2001 and returned to the soap to play Kim Nero in 2017. She was hired to portray Reese Williams on All My Children in 2008, and went on to briefly play a second character on DAYS in 2011: Nicole Walker’s younger sister, Taylor. She has won two Daytime Emmy Awards as Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role as Ava on DAYS in 2009 and Kim on GH in 2020.
Daytime alum Roger Howarth is boarding GH, too. He’s been cast in a mysterious new role and begins filming in mid-September. Like Braun, Howarth has a long storied daytime past. He made his debut as Kent Winslow on Loving in 1992, before moving on to Guiding Light as Rory. He is most noted for his portrayal of Todd Manning on One Life to Live, which he began in 1992 and played on and off through 2013. He also had a long stint as Paul Ryan on As the World Turns from 2003 to 2010, and played three different characters on GH, beginning with Todd Manning in 2012, segueing to Franco Baldwin in 2013, and later Austin Gatlin-Holt in 2021. Howarth nabbed the 1994 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in 1994.
Mishael Morgan continues her story arc as Amanda Sinclair. She’s back on Monday, September 1, in scenes with Zuleyka Silver’s Audra. She also interacts with Peter Bergman’s Jack and Susan Walters’ Diane on Tuesday, September 2.
Days of our Lives Casting
A popular duo returns to DAYS this week. Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves are back as Jack and Jennifer Deveraux. Look for the pair to share scenes with Susan Seaforth Hayes’ Julie and others on Friday, September 5.
After a short break, Casey Moss reappears as JJ Deveraux. He airs in scenes opposite his above mentioned TV parents, Ashford and Reeves, on Friday, September 5.
As the soap prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary in November, a number of fan favorites are set to return. Viewers can look forward to seeing Lamon Archey’s Eli, Maree Cheatham’s Marie, Roark Critchlow’s Mike, Bryan Dattilo’s Lucas, Colton Little’s Andrew, Chandler Massey’s Will, Stephen Schnetzer’s Steve, Christopher Sean’s Paul, Sal Stowers’ Lani, Alison Sweeney’s Sami, and Greg Vaughan’s Eric for some episodes.
Louis Tomeo is back as Aaron Greene, and Kennedy Garcia pops in as Felicity Greene on Monday, September 1. The siblings interact with their big sister, AnnaLynne McCord’s Cat. Tomeo also has scenes with Marissa Reyes’ Ari on Wednesday, September 3.
Thaao Penghlis airs as Tony DiMera on Thursday, September 4. Look for Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi to report to Tony about their plan to regain DiMera Enterprises.
Alice Halsey continues to get screen time as Rachel Black. She has scenes with Leo Howard’s Tate and Tomeo on Monday, September 1.
Cary Christopher resurfaces as Thomas DiMera on Monday, September 1. Look for the young actor to have a nice moment with his TV dad, Billy Flynn’s Chad.
Tina Huang reappears as Melinda Trask. The lawyer meets with Jackee Harry’s Paulina on Monday, September 1, and tries to calm Rachel Boyd’s Sophia on Tuesday, September 2.
The Bold and the Beautiful Casting
At long last, Matthew Atkinson returns to B&B as Thomas Forrester, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor’s (Rebecca Budig) mercurial son. The character surprises his TV mom when he arrives at her office this week. He also issues a warning to Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke and Heather Tom’s Katie. Atkinson made his last appearance on the soap in July 2024.
It appears that the Forresters and some other B&B clans will be getting a boost in the near future. “There’s a couple of younger characters that are tied to our major families that are going to be coming in,” co-headwriter Michael Minnis revealed in an interview with TV Insider.
Ashleigh Brewer is back as Ivy Forrester this week. She shares poignant scenes with Annika Noelle’s Hope.
Jordyn Lynn Ariza pops in as young Beth Spencer. The child interacts with her TV parents, Scott Clifton’s Liam and Annika Noelle’s Hope.
General Hospital Casting
Asher Antonyzyn gets more airtime as Danny Morgan, Jason’s (Steve Burton) son. He appears in powerful scenes with Maurice Benard’s Sonny on Tuesday, September 2, and throughout the week.
Finn Carr is by Antonyzyn’s side as Rocco Falconeri, Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) son. He airs on Tuesday, September 2.
Tess Auberjonois has wrapped up her run as Eva Heran, the judge Sidwell (Jenz Sidwell) bribed to grant Michael (Rory Gibson) full custody of his children. Her character was discovered floating face down in the Port Charles river last week.
