Here is the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.

The Week of July 14, 2025

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.

The Bold and the Beautiful

It appears that Lisa Yamada’s run as Luna Nozawa has come to an end on B&B… at least for now. The character was declared dead last week. The show, however, has not confirmed the actress’s exit, which means she could resurface at a later date. Yamada has already moved on to her next project, the role of Amber on the Amazon Prime Video series, Elle. It’s a prequel to the Legally Blonde film franchise.

Jack Wagner continues his story arc as Nick Marone. He has sweet scenes with Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke on Tuesday, July 15.

Jennifer Gareis pops in as Donna Logan Forrester on Tuesday, July 15. She interacts with Rebecca Budig’s Taylor.

General Hospital

Kirsten Storms’ temporary exit as Maxie Jones – the actress was replaced by Nicole Paggi on GH’s July 3 episode due to a scheduling conflict – is going to be more permanent. Storms took to Instagram to explain that she’s taking an extended break from the soap to move to Tennessee with her daughter, Harper. She will be back on screen the week of August 18. Storms explained that she had already filmed her final scenes of the year in June and hoped to be back on set in November or December.

Meanwhile, there’s some big return news. Kathleen Gati is heading back to the show as Dr. Liesl Obrecht. Rumors of Gati resurfacing started when it was announced that Kelly Thiebaud, who played her late daughter, Britt Westbourne, would be rejoining the soap. Gati, who began playing Liesl in 2012, made her last appearance in December 2023.

Vernee Watson is back as Stella Henry. She’ll share scenes with her onscreen nephew, Donnell Turner’s Curtis, on Wednesday, July 16.

As the truth about his character’s birth continues to take center stage, Finn Carr gets more screen time as Rocco Falconeri. Look for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) son to air again this week.

The Young and the Restless

Conner Floyd gets prominent screen time as Chance Chancellor on Y&R this week. Look for the Genoa City cop to begin investigating a murder on Tuesday, July 15, but who’s the victim? Promos for next week reveal Jermaine Rivers’ Damian suspecting he may have been poisoned. Or is that just a red herring for something worse that could ultimately lead to his or someone else’s demise?

Mishael Morgan continues her story arc as Amanda Sinclair. The attorney is back on Monday, July 14, and throughout the week.

Melissa Ordway is back as Abby Newman Winters, too. She’ll be among the numerous people questioned during Chance’s investigation.

Days of our Lives

Christopher Cary returns as Chad’s (Billy Flynn) adorable son, Thomas, on DAYS. The tyke invites AnnaLynne McCord’s Cat to play with him and his dad on Wednesday, July 16.

Kennedy Garcia gets more airtime as Felicity Greene. She shares scenes with Flynn, McCord, and Leo Howard’s Tate on Friday, July 18.

Shi Ne Nielson is back as Amy Choi on Thursday, July 17. She works opposite her TV daughter, Rachel Boyd’s Sophia.

Michael Masini has been playing the thug who’s been tailing Marissa Reyes’s Ari. The menacing character is back on Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15. He’ll interact with Reyes, Ashley Puzemis’ Holly and Peyton Meyer’s Doug.
