Casting For The Week of August 4, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
Days of our Lives
Two fan favorites are heading back to DAYS. Alison Sweeney returns for a quick visit as Sami Brady DiMera on Monday, August 4, to share an emotional reunion with her TV mom, Deidre Hall’s Marlena. It’s a one-and-done appearance for Sweeney, but she will be back again in November.
After a lengthy absence, Leann Hunley resurfaces as Anna DiMera on Thursday, August 7. Look for Anna to surprise her husband, Tony (Thaao Penghlis), with news about Stefano (Joseph Mascolo).
Kennedy Garcia pops in as Felicity Greene on Monday, August 4. She interacts with Raven Bowens’ Chanel, Casey Moss’ JJ, and others.
Stacy Haiduk is back as Susan Banks. She airs on Tuesday, August 5, in scenes with Carson Boatman’s Johnny, Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ, and Deidre Hall’s Marlena
Tina Huang makes another appearance as Melinda Trask. The attorney has scenes with Rachel Boyd’s Sophia on Wednesday, August 6.
Adam Chambers turns up as Dave on Monday, August 4. The character, a security worker at Salem University Hospital, has scenes with Billy Flynn’s Chad and AnnaLynne McCord’s Cat.
Karole Foreman gets more airtime as Judge Dabney. The character continues to officiate over Johnny’s trial on Thursday, August 7.
On the exit front, Al Calderon, who portrays Javi Hernandez, has landed a role on the NBC primetime series Brilliant Minds. Although Calderon will still appear as Javi into 2026, courtesy of the soap’s advance filming schedule, the role will eventually have to be recast.
The Young and the Restless
At long last, Jess Walton is back at Y&R as Jill Abbott. Look for the character to have a heated exchange with her TV son, Jason Thompson’s Billy, on Tuesday, August 5. Walton appeared on the show in November 2024.
Elizabeth Hendrickson has stepped into a new behind-the-scenes role at Y&R. The actress, who hasn’t been getting much screen time as Chloe Mitchell, shared the news on Instagram. She explained that after spending the last 18 months “in the booth, shadowing, observing and absorbing”, she’s now a director at the soap. “On Tuesday, the 5th, my first episode will air. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did directing it,” reported Hendrickson.
Two actors have exited Y&R. Conner Floyd has been written off as Chance Chancellor. The good guy cop was shot dead last week. Floyd has played Chance since 2021.
In addition, Vincent Stalba is out as Carter. Cane’s (Billy Flynn) executive assistant took his own life after killing Chance and Damian (Jermaine Rivers).
Beyond the Gates
Another CBS soap crossover is in the works. Bryton James is bringing Devon Winters, the character he portrays on Y&R, over to BTG. Look for Devon to visit Fairmont Crest soon, where he’ll interact with two of the show’s bigwigs: Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis, who portray power couple Anita and Vernon Dupree.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Jack Wagner is back on the B&B scene as Nick Marone. Look for the character to share emotional scenes with Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke and others.
Cassandra Creech returns as Dr. Grace Buckingham. The duplicitous doctor has confrontational scenes opposite Tanner Novlan’s Finn.
Ashley Jones gets more airtime as Dr. Bridget Forrester. She interacts with Novlan’s Finn and others.
That was famed designer Luisa Beccara as herself in scenes with John McCook’s Eric, Thorsten Kaye’s Ridge, and Lang’s Brooke last week. She was part of the show’s on-location fashion show sequences in Italy.
General Hospital
There’s a new player involved in the Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) return from the dead drama on GH. Marc Forget is playing Pascal, the concierge at Five Poppies Dalmatia, the Croatian hotel where Britt’s been residing. The actor, who debuted last week, appeared in the film Ford v Ferrari. He also had guest spots on NCIS and Ray Donovan.
Kathleen Gati returns as Dr. Liesl Obrecht, Britt’s mother. She crosses paths with Finola Hughes’ Anna on Monday, August 4.
Finn Carr and Asher Antonyzyn are back as Rocco Falconeri and Danny Morgan, respectively. Look for Danny to offer his “brother” some advice on Wednesday, August 6.
