It can be so frightening when a loved one goes through a health scare, and for current General Hospital star and soon to be The Young and the Restless, Michelle Stafford, there was something that made it easier.
And that something was YOU. The actress took to her Instagram account to thank everyone for their support as she shared a gorgeous image of a small beach with crystal-blue water.
“I wanted to share my view with you. I love all of you guys! Truly…You are so lovely to me. Thank you for all of your kind words and love,” she wrote. But that’s not all she had to say. Stafford also wanted to give an update about her dad.
“I wanted to thank all of you who reached out to me and DM’d me in the last few days about my father’s heart surgery. You cannot know what that has meant to me. All is good. Thank you. #LifeisEpic”
For a lot of fans, they have been hoping to hear from Stafford about the shocking turn of events of her job status. It was recently revealed that she was jumping ship from General Hospital, where she’s played Nina for the last several years.
The flip side of that is she is returning to the role that put her on the daytime map — Phyllis on The Young and the Restless, which means that the current actress in the role, Gina Tognoni, is without a job (though Soap Hub doubts it will be for long). Tognoni has already released a statement.
But considering all Stafford has been dealing with on the home front, with her father’s heart surgery, it is certainly easy to understand why she hasn’t felt the need to comment. When a loved one faces a health crisis, it tends to put things in perspective. Soap Hub wishes Michelle Stafford’s father a complete and speedy recovery.
