Hi Soap Hub Readers, It may be hard to believe that the Daytime Emmys are upon us once more! That’s because last year’s show got in just under the wire in December because of the WGA and SAG strikes. This will be the first Daytime Emmys, however, where I’m in my new role as Soap Hub Editor-in-Chief. I’m headed back to Los Angeles later this week to help bring you interviews from the Daytime Emmys red carpet. We’ll be talking to the winners in the backstage press room, too!

I began working at Soap Hub in 2016, and after a break in 2018, I returned in 2021, becoming the managing editor in 2022. I’m thrilled to lead the site, and I’m working hard alongside my team to ensure we bring you the best exclusive information on soap operas.

I also had the privilege of going to Los Angeles in early May and attending Daytime Unites to End ALS. The event, which Nancy Lee Grahn put on, was a huge success, bringing together stars from General Hospital, Days of our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. There is nothing daytime cannot do, especially when it unites to help a cause. Contributing to the event were also daytime’s amazing fans. What a great group of people who came out and helped raise money for such an important cause.

We were able to bring you some great insider moments from the event like GH’s Cynthia Watros and her great dance recreation. And this great moment from Lane Davies.

Friday is the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards (be sure to vote for your winners here). My colleague Michael Maloney and I will be on the red carpet and inside the ceremony, bringing you the best coverage of daytime’s biggest night.

Be sure to tune into our social media on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and visit the website for an inside look at what’s happening on June 7, 2024. We’ll go live and stream some of the red carpet, and my colleagues, Tina Charles and Alina Adams, plan to live tweet the Daytime Emmys this year, which is sure to be a great time.

At Soap Hub, we are here for you to bring you the latest spoilers and news from soap operas. Thank you for being the best readers in daytime!

Thank you for being a loyal reader,

Rachel Dillin
