Nina Reeves, played by Cynthia Watros, hasn’t performed at the Nurses Ball on General Hospital, however, Watros once did a dance that’s familiar to many from The Drew Carey Show. In one episode, she performed at memorable routine that she was recently asked to reprise.

Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and husband of Genie Francis (Laura), hosted last week Daytime Unites…to end ALS, a fundraiser put together by Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis). An All-Star Who’s Who of daytime actors turned out to lend their time — and in Watros’s case — their talents for the special day.

Frakes asked Watros if she could recreate her dance from The Drew Carey Show, which she first did in in the episode titled “Drew’s Girl Friday,” which originally aired on November 29, 2002. Check out the original dance in her Instagram post below.

Watros was happy to oblige but said that she’d need some music. Grahn quickly interjected, “We’ve got that!” The actress, who played Kellie, on The Drew Carey Show, indulged the attendees with a recreation of her dance, which can be seen below.

Grahn has been expressing her thanks to her fellow thespians on social media. “All I did was ask, and without hesitation my gracious, wonderful, lovely colleagues showed up to help raise funds for #ALS,” Grahn posted on Instagram. “Because of them, and Daytime fans, we raised over 71K. I’m beyond grateful for their kindness and generosity.”

Cynthia Watros has even more to dance about lately. She’s been nominated in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as GH’s Nina. You can read a full list of nominees here. The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards air on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+. Watros previously won this category in 1998 for her portrayal of Annie Dutton on Guiding Light.
