Many of today’s newest soap stars, as well as fan favorite vets on soap opera including Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), use social media to connect with fans, share their favorite causes, and keep something of a digital scrapbook of their lives.
Similarly, many (not all) soap fans also enjoy using social media to keep up with their favorite daytime dramas, family, and friends.

You want more of General Hospital (GH) favorite Emme Rylan (Lulu) sharing her beautiful bundle of joy. In fact, The Young and the Restless (YR) actress Melissa Ordway announcing her pregnancy and chronicling her daughter’s life gives you a smile every time!
Plus, you just can’t help but love every single time Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) shares the cutest pics of her and Stephen Nichols (Patch) behind the scenes of Days of Our Lives (DOOL).
Your eyes simply light up when The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) beauty Katherine Kelly Lang shows off her stunning caftans and other clothing in exotic locals.
Then, there’s the fact that you’re able to send them personalized birthday wishes or congratulate them on great performances instantly.
Character Counts
Nearly coming out on top, 49.9% of you prefer to keep to the characters only. For you, the soaps are more realistic without knowing much of the stars’ real lives.
Sure, you realize the actors behind the characters have real lives, but you think of them as living their characters’ lives, and you would rather not break that illusion — it’s more fun that way.
