Summer finally arrived, and for soap operas, that means sizzling hot storylines and cliffhangers!

While fans sometimes dread certain things during sudsy summers, there is often plenty of action and intrigue to catch everybody’s attention. Soap Hub asked if you feel excited about summertime storylines, and the results are surprising!

Interestingly, a huge 86% of you are thrilled to see what the summer brings for Days of Our Lives (DOOL), The Young and the Restless (YR), General Hospital (GH), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB).

Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Andre’s (Thaao Penghlis) unexpected marriage in Salem, and a crazy whodoneit with the death of Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) makes you tune in every weekday to see what’s up on DOOL!

Plus, the crazy court case with Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Juliet (Laur Allen) keep you on your toes with all its twists and turns.

Maybe you’re even embracing the enhanced teen scene each show brings…

Or, maybe not. A solid 13% of you are not thrilled about another sudsy summer. Perhaps you dread the major heatwaves outside, and you’d rather see something cooler inside while you try to keep from melting into a puddle.

It’s possible the ramped up teenage storylines for soaps each summer annoy you, or maybe you don’t like the fashions. Perhaps you’re more excited about upcoming fall storylines like the return of Sami and pals on DOOL?

Whatever the reason, you’re just not that excited about what’s coming up for the next three months or so.
