Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas for the week of July 13-17: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.
General Hospital Casting
Steve Burton finally resurfaces as GH’s Jason Morgan on Monday, July 13. The actor, who has been on a hiatus from the soap for months, made his last appearance in March when Jason was arrested and carted off by the WSB. Burton recently warned fans that his return to the soap may be polarizing.
Kathleen Gati clocks back in as Dr. Liesl Obrecht. The character lashes out at someone on Thursday, July 16.
Ryan Paevey has completed his run as Cassius Faison, after the character was declared dead. However, viewers soon learned that Nathan’s twin was offered a deal to secretly join the WSB. The door has been left open for Paevey’s return at a later date. In fact, the soap’s executive producer weighed in on Cassius’ future in Port Charles.
The Young and the Restless Casting
Jade Harlow has been cast in a recurring role on Y&R. She’s set to play Marie Kirkland, a newcomer with a mysterious past, and is slated to debut on Monday, August 10. Harlow has a number of daytime credits under her belt, dating back to her first role as Jessica Bennett on Passions in 2000. She also played Sheryl Connors on Days of our Lives and Lianna Ramos on the digital soap The Bay, a role that earned her a Daytime Emmy award.
Tricia Cast is headed back to Genoa City for another visit as Nina Webster. The actress is currently on set filming scenes. Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine, shared the news on Instagram along with a photo of herself with Cast and another cast member. Cast made her last appearance on the soap in November 2025, when Nina attended Christine and Danny’s (Michael Damian) wedding.
A pair of Abbotts continue their stints on the soap. Eileen Davidson gets more screen time as Ashley, while Beth Maitland returns as her younger sister, Traci. The pair reminisces with Tracey Bregman’s Lauren on Monday, July 13.
Stacy Haiduk returns as the diabolical Patty Williams. Look for Michael Mealor’s Kyle to bargain with the character while visiting her in jail on Wednesday, July 15.
Roger Howarth clocks back in as Matt Clark. His character causes problems for Tamara Braun’s Sienna and Lucas Adams’ Noah on Friday, July 17.
The Bold and the Beautiful Casting
After nearly four months off the canvas, Naomi Matsuda returns to B&B as Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) mother, Dr. Li Finnegan. She airs on Tuesday, July 14, and Wednesday, July 15, in scenes with Murielle Hilaire’s Daphne and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy. The character was last onscreen in March. Delon de Metz is back as Zende Forrester Dominguez. The fashion designer makes another appearance on Wednesday, July 15. De Metz shared his thoughts about his alter ego’s career and personal life.
Christopher “Sincere” Cato gets airtime as Alex, the supervisor and bartender at the Bikini Bar. He airs on Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14.
Sissy Sheridan resurfaces as Jessica. Her character encourages Sydney Bullock’s Dylan to make her move on Tuesday, July 14. She also airs on Friday, July 17.
Sandie Cameron appears as Shelly on Friday, July 17. She’s part of a group of young women who try to help Will (Crew Morrow) move on at the Bikini Bar.
Days of our Lives Casting
Lorelei Olivia Mote gets more screen time as Rachel Black on DAYS. Marlena (Deidre Hall) worries about her troubled granddaughter on Thursday, July 16. The talented actress has landed a role in Bill Hader’s upcoming horror film They Know.
Also on the kid front, Lena and Mira Chase are back on Monday, July 13. The adorable twins share the role of Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Joy’s (AlexAnn Hopkins) baby daughter, Kelsey.
Nikki Crawford continues her run as Lexie Carver. (Check out some interesting facts about the daytime newcomer.) The character reveals her secret to Marlena on Monday, July 13. She also airs on Thursday, July 16, in scenes with Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen.
