From Small Screen To Big: The Hartleys Make Movies

Chrishell Hartley is returning to Days of Our Lives in the new year as Jordan, but in the meantime, you can catch her in a romantic new flick with her husband, Justin Hartley!

As producer Alan Pietruszewski told Soap Hub previously, it’s a drama with a sci-fi twist. “It’s a story about the choices we make and the places they lead us. We seldom end up where we thought we were going, but somehow end up where we belong.”

Chrishell plays Julia Practor, a woman whom the leading man, played by her real-life husband, Justin, becomes determined he’s meant to be with. Soap Hub asked her to tell us a bit more about what to expect from Julia.

“My character inherits her father’s company and though she really cares about it and their clients, her passion is more aligned with philanthropic work. Justin’s character falls for her and then is off to figure out a way to meet her before she met her fiancé.”

While both Hartleys have worked on the same soap before, a film is certainly different, so how was it for them to work together now?

“He is so talented and he just made the whole experience a lot of fun,” she shared.

While the movie will be in theaters and available on demand on September 14, the two shot the film years ago.

Justin is now starring in his third season of This Is Us for NBC. Anyone who follows Chrishell on Twitter knows she is one of the show’s biggest champions. Soap Hub asked if she could give us a preview of what’s to come this season.

“I will be watching Season 3, tissues in hand!” she declared.

Not surprising since tissues were needed for just about every episode in the first two seasons!

“I have gone to the This Is Us set to visit Justin a few times. It’s exciting to watch. I sat in the theatre when he shot his bad audition scene from Season 1.

“That was one of my favorite set visits because they shot what was on the page and then just had him continue in character for a few minutes just ad-libbing. He is hilarious. As an actor, we all have all been there with a nightmare audition so it was so fun to watch.”

You can see the new season of This Is Us beginning September 25 and keep an eye out for the return of Jordan on DAYS in 2019.

Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
