Being Lulu is a major bummer, these days; in fact, it downright sucks! Sure, she’s blonde, blue-eyed and beautiful, but the General Hospital heroine has suddenly hit an all-time low point.
It all started when Lulu (Emme Rylan) decided to embark on a journalism career, and, in a matter of weeks, was breaking news stories for Aurora Media. Unfortunately, one of those stories came with some major consequences – gunfire and two deaths; one of them being beloved cop, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).
Bye-Bye BFF
Sadly, for Lulu, Nathan was her best friend Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) husband, and Maxie totally holds her responsible for his death. Lulu convinced Nathan to do an interview to lure out his criminal father, who ended up coming to town and killing him.
Maxie lit into Lulu at Nathan’s graveside, when she tried to say, “I’m sorry,” for her loss. “You should be sorry,” snapped Maxie, “because you killed him.” Now it looks like Lulu has lost her bestie forever.
Meanwhile, Lulu’s hubby Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) has been supporting his wife, but it’s pretty clear he kind of agrees with Maxie.
In fact, when Maxie called him out about agreeing with her take on things, while she was chastising Lulu, he didn’t jump to Lulu’s defense or deny it.
Instead, he kept mum and led his wife away. It could just be a matter of time before he turns on Lulu for inadvertently setting up his best friend to die.
Parental Guidance
Lulu could really use her parents at the moment, but dad Luke (Tony Geary) took off to find himself in 2015 and hasn’t been back since. Her mom, Laura (Genie Francis), recently went to Europe to look after her grandson, Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel), who broke both his legs in a skiing accident. So Lulu can’t count on either for comfort.
Brotherly Love
On the sibling front, Lulu is 0-for-2, as well. Her eldest brother Nikolas was murdered by Valentin in 2016, and her other brother, Lucky, was last seen in 2015, when he helped rescue the kidnapped Jake from Helena.
At a time when Lulu could really use some brotherly love, she can’t turn to either of hers, which means she’s going to have get through this rough patch all by her lonesome self.
