Daytime dynamo Elizabeth Hendrickson made her General Hospital (GH) debut as district attorney Margaux Dawson, and she’s a perfect fit for the soap.
Anyone who’s seen the accomplished actress’ work over the years – from Frankie and Maggie Stone on All My Children to Chloe Mitchell on The Young and the Restless — knows she can play anything from tomboy to psychopath and everything in between.
That’s why the opportunity to watch Hendrickson mix it up with the show’s stellar cast is going to be so much fun.
Ladies of Strength
GH is known for its core of strong leading ladies from Maura West (Ava) to Finola Hughes (Anna), so Hendrickson will effortlessly ease into the fold.
Plus, she’s playing an attorney, which means she’s destined to do onscreen battle with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) and Carolyn Hennessy (Diane).
It will only enhance the courtroom drama moving forward. In fact, she’s already began warring with Diane.
A Special Reconnection
The soap would be wise to have Hendrickson cross storyline paths with Billy Miller’s Drew and it looks like that may happen as reports indicate she screen tested with him.
The duo was a powerful combination as Chloe and Billy on Y&R, whether they were playing lovers, friends or grieving parents, who lost their beloved daughter.
Reviving the special connection between these two actors would be riveting and certainly spice up Drew’s suddenly Sam-less life, as well as throw a monkey wrench into his blossoming friendship with Kim (Tamara Braun).
Corinthos Combat
Since Margaux’s initial assignment is sending Carly to The Big House, she’s set up to be an instant enemy of the Corinthos “family.”
Hendrickson’s certainly poised to hold her own opposite Laura Wright, Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Steve Burton (Jason).
Plus, her character could really send the clan into a tizzy by somehow getting involved with Chad Duell’s Michael, who’s ready to move on in a new direction. Imagine mama Carly’s furor if her favorite son found himself smitten with the woman trying to convict her for attempted murder?
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
