Vanessa Marcil shocked Twitter followers when she answered a tweet about a rumor by simply saying it was true.
The tweet mentioned rumors that she signed a three-year contact on the CBS powerhouse, NCIS. But the show, which first aired in 2003 and is currently in its 14th season, already has the largest cast it’s ever had.
Add to that the fact that Marcil is similar in type to Jennifer Esposito, who plays newly added agent Alex Quinn, it seems questionable. The show usually likes to have different types of team members, each adding something unique to the mix.
Could the actress just be teasing her followers? She did share an Instagram shot of her with a gun, looking very agent-like, three days ago (see below). If true, what does this mean for Brenda and General Hospital, after rumors surfaced Thanksgiving week that she may return?
While it’s not unheard of for an actor to pull double duty on both daytime and primetime, it’s usually easier when the two shows are on the same network.
Networks love synergy and will sometimes work more to make schedules work for a sister show. That’s not the case here, just like it wasn’t for former The Young and the Restless star, Justin Hartley (ex-Adam), who left to work on NBC’s This Is Us earlier this year.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Win exclusive member-only GH spoilers, prizes, and more: sign up here! Also, join the conversation on our Facebook page.
