It’s not the first time General Hospital has played good twin/bad twin. It’s not even the first time they’ve done it with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Ryan (also Jon Lindstrom) Chamberlin.
But it is the first time when fans haven’t been sure exactly which one is which. One of them is locked up at Ferncliff. But which brother is it? Over 7,000 of you took your best guess.
Only the Good… Get Tied Up
For 76% of you, Ryan trapping Kevin makes a lot more sense than Kevin trapping Ryan. Ryan is the one who deserves to be in a mental hospital. So, naturally, he’ll be the one on the outside. That’s just the way life – and especially soap life – works.
Kevin has been acting pretty strange lately, so it makes sense that Ryan has stashed his twin away and taken over his life.
The question is, how long has he been doing it? And how will this affect Laura (Genie Francis)? Could there be a more sinister reason for why we haven’t seen her for so long, other than Spencer needing all attention to be on him at all times?
Sometimes a Cigar Is Just a Cigar
Kevin has the best reason for locking up Ryan, 23% of the audience feels obliged to point out the obvious: Kevin is a shrink. And Ryan is a nut. Of course, Kevin would want his brother locked away where he couldn’t hurt any more people.

As to why Kevin would keep it a secret, well, Ryan was supposed to be dead. Admitting he was alive would unsettle people like Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Mac (John J. York). Who needs that?
Plus, maybe Kevin is hoping he’ll finally be able to get through to Ryan and cure him. There’s some family loyalty there, as well.
