Peter seemed more or less harmless when he first showed up on General Hospital (GH). Played by daytime and primetime vet Wes Ramsey, he was introduced as the brilliant new COO of Aurora Media, quickly impressing Drew (Billy Miller), Sam (Kelly Monaco), and even Nina (Michelle Stafford).
Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) thought he was pretty nifty, too.
But then came the friendship with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). And the mess known as Peter is Henrik and Henrik is Anna’s (Finola Hughes) son with Faison (Anders Hove). Except Faison somehow never knew that and so continued berating Obrecht (Kathleen Gatti) and Britt (Kelly Thibaud) about how desperately he wanted a son even though he already had one.
At the end, Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was dead, the convoluted truth was out, and Obrecht has Peter tied up at a secluded mountain cabin.
Is all that too much history for Peter to overcome in order to become a Port Charles hero? Over 7.000 people voted:
Rapist Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) became Mayor of Port Charles. Alan Quartermaine tried to kill his wife and her lover, yet died beloved by all. Anna was once a double-agent. Franco (Robert Howarth) killed and terrorized people. And Sonny (Maurice Benard)… well, Sonny!
So, yes, of course, 76% of you shrug, Peter can still become a hero. Heck, by this time next year, you expect him to be honored as Man Of the Year!
Not On Your Watch
Some crimes are unforgivable, counter 24% of the audience. And unwittingly helping rid the world of the eye candy that is Nathan is going a step too far!
If Peter were a mobster with dimples or a hit man with brain damage, then, yes, sure, maybe, you might be able to keep an open mind. But he’s not.
