On General Hospital, it’s not so much that you’ve gotta have friends, but that you should keep your friends close…and your enemies closer. Some of the most intriguing relationships in Port Charles aren’t the romantic couples, but the ones who can best be described as frenemies.

General Hospital Polling

Some former enemies have been having a great time working together, which while odd, seems to be working. Which pairing do you think the show should explore more? How over 3,000 viewers voted!

GH: Bailey Lou Has Two Mommies

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) were initially a friendship of convenience. Maxie needed to hide her newborn daughter from evil Papa Peter August (Wes Ramsey), and Brook Lynn needed to produce a baby to show Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) at the end of her pillow-filled pregnancy. Now, the scheme has been uncovered, but little Bailey nee Louise has two women who love and want to protect her. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, 58% of General Hospital fans suggest. With just enough snark to make it interesting.

The General Hospital Man Who Thankfully Got Away

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was obsessed with Ceasar Faison (Anders Hove). Cesar Faison was obsessed with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Anna had no opinion about Liesl… until Liesl kidnapped Anna’s daughter, Robin. Then, Anna got a wee bit peeved. Since then, however, the two have needed to work together to stop Peter and an assortment of other evil acts. This is a crime-fighting duo 31% of you wouldn’t mind seeing more of.

GH: Cut and Dried

Now that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has also slept with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) have more in common than just the affair Ava had with Nina’s husband. And that time Nina literally cut a baby out of Ava’s body and took off with the still-bloody infant. We realize that’s not the greatest basis on which to forge a friendship, but it’s enough, according to 10% for ‘frenemieship.’
