General Hospital has finally started to have Sidwell lose his power thanks to Sonny and Laura. Sidwell has been wreaking havoc in Port Charles for far too long. It’s about time he got knocked down a peg or two and lost his power.

The Tables Are Turning on The Villain
Pascal (Marc Forget) came through for Laura (Genie Francis) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) with some major help from Lucas (Van Hansis). Sonny and Laura finally got their hands on the incriminating pictures of them with Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) dead body, getting them out from under Sidwell’s (Carlo Rotta) thumb.
In the June 8 episode of GH, Laura gloated as she publicly challenged Sidwell to do his worst. Sonny looked on in enjoyment while backing up the mayor at the same time.
Sidwell was prepared to destroy Laura and replace her with Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove). However, what he discovered at Wyndemere changed everything. When he opened his safe, Sidwell learned the evidence was gone and he realized Lucas was the culprit.
The control he had over Laura, Sonny, and Port Charles is gone, making him very vulnerable. Sonny has kept Sidwell alive because of the evidence. All bets are off now.
Along with Sidwell losing the evidence, he continues to become more vulnerable as he reels from the losing Marco (Adrian Anchondo). Sidwell isn’t thinking clearly following his son’s death and that’s becoming crystal clear.
Not only are those two things making the villain vulnerable, but he’s become an easy target. Throw in Tracy (Jane Elliot), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and Lucy (Lynn Herring) wanting to force him out of Deception, and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) keeping things for him, Sidwell’s power is lessening even more.
