Once more into the boardroom, my friends, as General Hospital continues to tell the tale of who should run the company Edward and Lila Quartermaine built. While the board waits to vote, we don’t have to.
General Hospital: Family Forum
Here’s what the viewers said. It should be Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), according to 42% of you. Sure, Michael spent most of his life pushing the Quartermaine family away, only suddenly remembering they’re his blood relatives when he either wanted something or needed to stick it to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
And, sure, Drew, while a much better son to Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) than either of his brothers ever were, is still a little bit brainwashed and probably a whole lot traumatized. But they both have lovely hair. And has there ever been a better reason to elect a CEO than that?
GH: You’re Playing With the Big Boys Now
Or, 33% of the fans counter, you could let two people with actual business experience get the job done. By that we mean, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Ned is an actual Quartermaine, Edward’s namesake, as a matter of fact, and Valentin belongs to a family that loves to steal others’ businesses. So it’s better to have him on your side than against you.
General Hospital: Out Of Business
Of course, 25% of the audience is plain old fed up with boring corporate stories and wishes the show would get back to love in the afternoon. Either hand it off to some corporate raider to run it off-screen or sell the whole thing off for parts. It’ll free the principles to deal with their messed up personal lives. They all could certainly stand to focus a bit more on that and a bit less on their mutual funds.
