Tanisha Harper Checks Into General Hospital As The New Jordan Ashford

When TJ Ashford got the call that his mother was going to be returning to Port Charles soon, we knew the announcement of a new Jordan Ashford was just a matter of time. Now comes word that Tanisha Harper has been cast in the General Hospital role.

Tanisha Harper Joins General Hospital

Deadline first reported the news that Tanisha Harper is taking over the role of Jordan Ashford, which was originated by Vinessa Antoine and more recently played by Briana Nichole Henry. Harper’s credits include Dollface (on Hulu) and Hacks (on HBO Max). A first airdate for Harper has not yet been announced.

Jordan’s return is big for her son, TJ (Tajh Bellow), but it will surely rock the world of her ex-husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), and his big romance with former flame, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Before Briana Nicole Henry departed GH last September, a seemingly dying Jordan became privy to a deep dark secret of Portia’s. Will she remember what that is and spill the tea?

It’s Not Over for Curtis and Jordan

Not only that, when Jordan seemed near death, Curtis was losing his mind, not leaving her side — a sight that was witnessed by Portia. He seemed to have rediscovered his love for his wife when he was threatened with losing her forever. After all, he was mad at the secrets she kept — it wasn’t that he had stopped loving her.

Yet, after Jordan left to get medical treatment, it seemed out of sight was out of mind for Curtis, and his romance with Portia resumed, with the two recently discussing moving in together (another sure sign that Jordan would soon be returning to Port Charles). Will having her back rekindle Curtis’s feelings for Jordan again? Time will tell.

Tanisha Harper Is the New Jordan

The role of Jordan first hit Port Charles back in 2014 in the form of Vinessa Antoine, who left GH in 2018 when she was cast as the lead in the show Diggstown, which shoots up in Canada. Henry took over that same year. Late last year, she revealed she was pregnant for the first time, and she and her husband Kris Bowers are awaiting the birth any time. Now, Tanisha Harper is the new Jordan Ashford.
